Ok guys updated nameof this thread, it should be coming out right today, im guessing around 5 ish since thats when people will be getting out of work, so perhaps there going to wait until the end of the day then put it up, i would if i was them.

The Demo is officially released, go to filepanet if your a member, or gamespot, as i know both sites have the demo now, im Downloading via my fileplanet subscription, and ill tell you all how it is.

It's the best Star Wars RTS game ever, that's what it is!
Just downloaded the demo via GameSpot Complete and played all through the tuturials and Galactic Conquest modes, best game ever.

I can even play it with all the video and audio options at their highest

well i can't say anything about the generic galaxy map yet as its a bit limited when all you got is 2 planets and one asteroid-field to worry about, and the enemy never attacks whatsoever. and transport between planets is extremely quick, which i hope is better in the proper game, so you can't instantly attack people on the other side of the galaxy.

They sped things up in the demo, also the A.I. was disabled for the demo as well.

Oh, ok. I thought it was really fast too.

It reminds me of the Total war games, with the managing of territories and armies.

well i havent played total war, but i believe that they might have a better tactical gameplay than EAW. but since they don't have space warfare you really can't put them up against eachother.
