Making sure your enemy's air defense is crippiled befre you call your super in is just part of the strategy. Gredinus and I did some multi-player with it. Its was just ugly when I softened up his base with B52s and Auroras then called 3 wings of B-2s with carpet bombing (15 B2s)
Just because it can be shot down doesn't mean that it can't be awsome.
Between now and the next polished release there should be very little new art work done. Instead the focus is on designing, testing, and fixing. the mod has always been so close to finished that its nearly criminal. I'd love to see this through to the end with a real community effort.

I would play remix if it was on ModToaster.
Remix 3 will be.

I'm playing Cyber and i think it would be nice if he gets another defense. I read that in Contra Remix 3 there could be a Railgun Turret instead of a Patriot. Could this Railgun Turret be used in Contra 005, too?
well, the railgun idea failed to pan out... but I did change alot for Cybr. Instead of patriots he has a blank foundation that can build 1 of 5 different turrets.

well... Contra.05 and Remix arn't developed along the same lines. I think Creator is nearing completion of Contra, but I would expect a much more polished, smoother version of Contra.04... just as it was the same as Contra.03 but impoved and steamlined.so how is 005 going? any major changes FROM remix???
I know there are several new models and some new units in Contra.05, as well as some new powers, but the over all style is just an evolution from .04.... While Remix is something completely different.

Yeah just compare the unit lists of Airforce Gen in Remix and in contra same eith tank and so on, remix is a lot bigger
bigger, yes, but I don't call it better. I won't hesitate to admit Creator's work is more polished. Another difference is Contra focuses on having one unit for each role, with a posible late game replacement.
Remix focuses on having one unit for each role at each tech level, plus an aditional tech level. Its not better, just different.
Fewer units gives Creator alot more room to get every unit fully moddeled, with all its condition states and hulks etc.

Question @ Creator and Pendaelose:
Will this new idea also be used in Contra005 or only in Remix 3? I think Cyber should get a more powerful defense in Contra005 because he can't attack very well before he reaches rank 3.
