No, cause then it would use the image for the Anthrax Beta which would then show up on all the units.

Yeah, that happens in regular gen too, it's due to the game processing all of the Pathfinding stuff, the FX from when infantry run, and all the animations and polys that are there.

Mine's 4 years ol, but I run all my messangers, Photoshop, Max, gmax and other things while I play too, so I'm sure if I didn't run those then I wouldn't get any lag.

I have a fairly new Gateway laptop, and Guerillas drop it to a crawl, so I don't use Militia at all.

It always lags a bit, but it's fast enough to play until I either cover the map with units and tell them to move (most of them don't move until I give them the order several times, EA sucks at coding pathfinding skills on units) or break out the Guerillas. They are the only infantry that ever really lagged my computer.

maybe it's the numerous heroic icons that make the geurillas so slow trying to display lots of infantry while trying to support each individual soldiers heroic status must wear it out.

laptops being what they are are not the BEST for playing games but since i don't have one my imagination tells me ooooh how a game playing laptop would go down a very tasty and nutrient stuffed treat on long plane, road trips etc

well i got a couple of 512 DDR RAM sticks and a rock solid processor it's just the video card, it could do with replacing with an nvidia geforce 6800 ultra or better instead of my old nvidia card which heralds from the fx series which stopped at the 5700 line.

Laptops can be pretty powerful sometimes (Alienware Area 51 is pretty much the king of all gaming PCs, only slightly worse than an Alienware desktop). I don't know the tech specs on mine, but it does have an 80 gig hard drive.

yeah i am a self proclaimed militia expert and i know they can soooooooo much more with those battle trucks but vehicles which can be garrisoned like the infamous infantry gen attack outpost is never used by ai with a full supply of troops and they don't make full destuctive capabilities of their tank divisions speaking of tanks the militia stalker is not really worth much because its just a speed increase and the cannon is a pittance compared to the spear tank upgrade can do so much more.

not that its a bad thing but why oil derricks just ANYWHERE? you can't just get oil from any where but this is ZH with PR so there. that makes me wonder if the militia should have an air force comprised of a tech airfiled with their own planes obviously.

Revisions are being made to the side, which include new buildings, new powers, new units, and tech units.

Personally, I like that unique ability to place (or drill for oil) derricks anywhere on the map. It gives a tactical advantage as to where you would want to set up derricks. In other words, it allows YOU the player to set up and defend oil derricks where you want too, and on your terms. Not the map makers.

Not something I would recommend for all sides, but a nice little addition to the Militia side. And it makes sense to be an exclusive thing for the Militia side since civilian engineers would have much more knowledge in drilling for oil than the military would.

It's more than a little unrealistic, since you can't just drill anywhere to get to oil, but it works for a game.

Idea: The Militia could build a bunch of mobile oil drills, which can unpack somewhere and start hauling up the oil. However, they only do this for a limited amount of time, until the oil runs out. After that, an invisible object appears there that doesn't allow them to drill there and they have to go somewhere else. As a backup, these 'no drill' areas disappear after a certain amount of time, that way the Militia doesn't become the only side with a limited amount of money.

their civilian status is also reflected by their farmer artillery and religious ties since they use an awful lot of fundalmentalists to further their goals of peace through power which is a sensible way of ruling the world tyranically and so the brotherhood of nod quickly discovered this and quickly reacted.
