I'm RESURECTING this dead topic because its very soon about to become much more important again.
There were lots of good suggestions the first time the Remix3 GLA was braught up, but I think the discusion got completely hung up on the jets and individual tanks... Instead of focusing on one type of tank, or wanting a certain model in game lets talk about play style and needed unit TYPES (not specific units)... For exsample: Assault GLA needs a multi-role fighter and an interceptor type. Demo GLA needs replacements for the Terrorist-Rocket units, how about a simple bomber, a suicide plane, and a basic interceptor.
Other good points that belong here is whole concepts for units. Such as, "every interceptor uses missiles... it would be interesting to have a quad cannon style plane", or "how about a base defense that spawns sneak attacks near the target and spawns terrorists" Not just new units, but new ideas are needed. If we stick to REAL units then GLA will be just like any other army. to be original you have to break away from REAL once in a while. One of the best IDEAS to come out was bombing with terrorists... I don't think it will make it in game, but I love how different the idea is from saying GLA should have a 50s style heavy bomber. Both do the same thing in game, but only one is original.
The super Short Version of everything Prior to now on the Remix3 GLA Topic to include the SHORT version of my design ideas:
ALL GLA: Many more defense options. Stronger defenses overall. Ofcourse techtree and super weapon changes to miror the tech tree changes for USA and China. I would also like ot include more artillerry options for all GLA.
Assault: Non-Stealth Non-tricks& Traps Uses conventional weapons, has a variety of tanks and artillery. Has alot in common with the play balance of Vanilla China with a GLA look. will include more/newer aircraft.
Chem: Will change little, is already a good, well rounded general. If anything Chem will just be more rounded out to include AirCraft and main battle tanks. I have a dream of Chem Attack Zeplins... ohh yess....
In many ways Chem GLA will expand in the same ways as Flame china, more units capable of attacking the units Chem is weakest against while keeping the style of play.
Demo: Already an excelent general, but needs a larger variety of CONVENTIONAL weapons. not every Demo unit has to be a suicide unit. He can have mortars, cannons, mine layers etc... I have plans for a new super devistating superweapon.
Stealth: Will be given many extra powers... many buildings will be able to spawn ambushes or other specials. Stronger powers available earlier (sneak attack at lvl3). Many ground units will be removed and replaced with a larger variety of stealthed fast attack units suited for hit and run. (This is gonna hurt some feelings) the stealth tank is going to get Nerfed alot... its way over powered and requires no "stealthy" play... just because the unit is stealthed doesn't mean it needs some creativity to use, and for that reason I think it goes AGAINST the stealth general mentality of tricking and suprising your enemy. The stealth tank is not an amush god... its a base rush god, this should be fixed. On a whole I think stealth should have more tricks and less brute... basicly pushing stealth gen even farther down the path he is already on.
