okay i've been trying to figure out how to download and use mods, but to no avail, If someone could

Okay i installed shadows of evil and troll captian of gorgoroth, bt he nor khamul shoewed up at my citadel. do they show up at the troll cages and palce or what because i just thought of this now,as im typing this, and havent checked.

you need to go into the start menu and select run X mod.

I"ve tried that and it says something a bout elves melee damage, Ini file. What is the real problem, any solution?

Have you got any other major mods installed(ie. Elvenstar)?
Playing games? Ah, you'll never be a good modder if you get involved in actually playing them!

Yeh, the ElvenWarrior melee damage is something EA added in in Patch 1.02 I believe.

Okay i downloaded haldir and the elvenstar mod and everytime i go into skirmish for shadows of evil and gorgorth caaptin of the trolls it gives me a exception access violation.

Still doesnt work. i'll uninstall all mods then reinstall shaodws, thats what ill use most. see if it helps.

Delete all your skirmish stats and uninstal all mods.

How do you delete the skirmish stats?
It even affects the normal non modded game.

More detailed is that i click on the skirmish option and it goes to yhe darker background screen, then shuts itself down and gives me the error message.

Go to "my battle for middle-earth files" and open them up in notepad...you should be able to tell which ones are messed up, hey will have something like this: Favoriteside = Elves instead of favoriteside = gondor, rohan etc.

Imrahil there is no wierd text about elves. But a point and win thing. Like 7 wins but only 5 points. Is that what needs to be fixed?
