The heart of progress beats again! (god I love these kind of phrases..)

The Dwarven Archer ingame. Anyone knows a better name then Dwarven archer cuz I sure hate it. The green is getting made darker.

EDIT: Right when I posted it it became obsolete. We will instead use Gondor Archer animations and skeleton instead of Orc ones.

I attempted at a Khazad Guard...not the best I know, the shoulderpads are wierd...i'll develop it some more...I thought that mithril must be the highest ranking armor thing for the dwarves, therefore the Khazad Guard will basicly be almost dressed as the same as the heavy armored infantry but they have more royal designs lavished to show their standard in the army and rank.

Don't worry about the shoulders, we are removing them. They arent realistic at all. Can you send all your skins in PSD to ffx_matias@hotmail.com so I can start applying and removing shoulder stuff?

I am currenty working on the Khazard Guard skin and new model so Lady Rhieas one will not be used as Khazard Guard. but it does not mean he won't be used at all. If u have any idea who he could be then just post it.

well coding also but thats when full game gets out i think :mellow:
so it also means that rhieas khazad skin will be for thorin or pikeman.

This is LR.

A) I'm still working on my Khazad Guard skin, the pikemenw ill use the standard armor skin I have developed.

B) I have already have a design in my head for the men of dale, I looked up John Howe's work and WETA and have thought of a good collaboration :3

C) Thorin will have a different skin than the others, he's a hero, he needs more distinctive and better lavished armor. :3

i like those skins one problem with the remodeled gaurdian he looks a little to skinny like arent dwarves suposed to be built? but w/e i love those skins tho gloin looks great! and isnt it bard not brand? and alot of these ideas seem very much like our hobbit mod ones, like archers instead of axethrowers, khazad gaurds, faction names like erebor, and gundabad. these are like all of your ideas and they are all form our mod.... not acusing u itcouldve hapend by chance maybe...

I'm thinking that none of those ideas are from your mod alone...

Dwarven axethrowers: not mentioned in Tolkien's works.
Dwarven archers: mentioned specifically on many occasions in The Hobbit.
Khazad Guard: GW invention. Not yours. See below for further explanation of this.
Erebor: Primary stronghold of the Dwarves at this point. What else are they going to be called? Dwarves? That's like calling Isengard "Uruk-Hai".
Gundabad: Wow, Goblin fort. Not your idea either.

I mean... I've had a model/skin of a Khazad Guard for longer than your mod team has existed... RA has had stuff like that for longer than your mod team has existed... "these are like all of your ideas and they are all from our mod.... not accusing you, it couldve happened by chance maybe...". Not trying to start anything, but you know...

Moral of the story: be exceptionally careful what you say about any kind of copying, especially considering how closely I watch your mod team for it.

Matias:

I very much like Gloin: very good work there on the cloth. I'd also advise a redo on the Guardian's face, EA's original is pretty ugly and chunky.

EA had normal fat small puny axe and hammer dwarves rather than JRRT's variestic creative dwarves. Nice job putting the image together. ^^

ok im sorry and take that back it just all sounded the same and nertea dontworry about us copying u at all ive stopped going to your forusm except for maybe once a month because it just isnt comin out so no need to watch if u want to go ahead but w/e btw u guys could start on code now couldnt u? just copy all the code u write somewhere and when the game comes out just copy it ther and your mod could be outthe same day u buy the game lol

Don't be foolish man. They haven't started on RA2 so why should RA1 be out on the same day as as B4ME2..

Oh and the Dwarves are thin because soldiers aren't fat. Simple as that. You can't fight when you have so much overweight.

Also I am getting a bit tied up in having to choose between Rhiea's stuff and Tomat's.. anyone has some ideas what more units we could add so all the skins are used?

Rhiea this is Matias, dont do the Brand skin, I have it done already. Tomat is working on the Men of Dale. We are almost done for Erebor, just the coding.. how about working on a Glorfindel skin, with GOLDEN hair of course :mellow:
