I am here by deputizing all mappers that want to help out in making skirmish and mission maps complete with scripts for Project Raptor. This does not include the map based weather FX that don't affect how units work (ie tornados, earth quakes). If you do naval maps, they will require tides. Snow and desert maps will require the blowing snow and sand. They will also require moving cars, tech buildings, cities (some maps), and more stuff, if you want to help, contact me or post here specifically what type of map you want to do, because you need to do the scripting for that map too. If you do all the right waypoints and stuff, send me the map and I will add the AI for the skirmish maps. If it's a campagin map, then you must script it yourself. This does include all the campagins for the other Generals. No credits on the map via scripts, if I find them, I will remove them, they will however end up in the mod's main credits. You will also get exclusive alpha rights. We also need some co-op missions for Skirmish and Online play, and make some good tournament maps for the upcomming tournament for Project Raptor.

I've gotta say I'm not a happy camper with this part.

I don't see the problem of letting people know, in the intro of your own map, who the author of the map was. The author that I might add, spent a significant amount of free time building for others in PR to play.

In my opinion credit is due where credit is due, and that's in the map itself. It's not too much to ask.

That's my hard earned two cents worth. And I'm sorry if that upsets anyone.

For a map that will be played regularly during skirmish or missions, it's sloppy to do so especially in a mod. That's why we have credits bob ^_^, and readmes, which I don't use. That and it interferes with ones ability to see the descriptions of units, which is also sloppy. I will still remove it whether you like it or not, and it will be put into the main credits which can be accessed via the main menu. This means you will still get credit, but not on the map, oh and for the missions use the Hint's and Tips scripts, instead of the Text, and if you do use text, don't use it for speech like "We are the GLA, let us show the Americans what they have gotten themselves into." It takes to long to get through it then, and it's such an annoyance.

For the record. I'm still against it. It doesn't harm much, the interference with the descriptions is brief. Also, I don't think it's a sloppy way of doing things as long as it just one line of text added to your normal intro, and not some big production number or anything.

... but I will digress on this argument. It's you're mod, and your the boss.

That's the last I'll speak of it.

have a readme file crediting those, and saying who it was done by ?

A file in some map folders named 'read me'. Contains credits, storylines, and sometimes installation instructions. A file that I doubt few actually read.

I support freedom of speech, I will take it into consideration, but mind you, I hate seeing intros, the only map in the mod that has intros had them removed and that was the map with the volcano in it.

Now I'm confused. Do the campaign levels still have that intro text thing down in the bottom left while the movie is playing telling you the level? Also, I think it would be kinda fair to put a watermark of the author on the picture of the level when you select it. Unobtrusive, and it gives credit. OR modify the music so that it constantly says "VIEW THE CREDITS!" during the match, over and over...subliminal messaging.

Doesn't matter. He will be sending us a PR 8.0 Beta Version for mapping.

First off subliminal messaging in the US is a Federal Crime. Secondly, if they want to take a pickture of them self and they want to do a watermark on the map image, I will do that for them, but it will not however have the in map credits.

Vanguard...will the Worldbuilder program work with PR 8.0? Or do you need to uninstall PR, repair ZH, use the WB then reinstall PR every time?

Just uninstall PR 7.0, then install PR 8.0, that's all you need to do when switching versions to make sure it works.
