It's easy. The whole of SDI is about teaching people stuff - while delivering easy content of course.
Anyway, to make the AI build structures you need a build list.
The build list is obviously a list of things the AI is to build - it contains where the structures should be built, and also when.
So it's imperative to have "build sequence" in the scripts, for example regular USA always build the powerplant, then a barracks, then a supply depot then a warfactory and so on.
So, to make your build list, go to WB, add your new faction(s) in Edit>Player (assuming you have them coded in the playertemplate.ini, and also assuming your mod adds new factions) and click the build list tool in WB
<<
Then select your side, select a commandcenter and place it somewhere. Then follow your build sequence and layout. Once you've done making your list click the "Export" button, and an ini file will be generated in your generals (or zero hour) folder. That ini file contains the build list, so copy all the content and put it in the AIDATA.ini file.
That's just about it..

Yeah I'll probably write the huge one next or so "Adding a new faction". It'll be a wee more complicated but maybe I'll write one for n00bs as well.... @Staff, please do not hesitate to help me out!The SDI site has some great tutorials about units. It will be open in a few days.
