I admit most British cars are nothing special, but when under British ownership, TVR were good (not anymore...the Russian guy's fucked them up), Ariel (makers of the delightful Atom), Aston Martin...Jaguar used to be good, before being annexed by Ford, and the original Cooper used to be wonderful. MG and AC did, too, before also being annexed.
But by the same token, what have Australia done for the automotive world lately? Oh, Holden? Yeah. Owned by Vauxhall! How shit is that? And Holden cars are nothing more than Ford Mustangs by another name anyway...so, you've got the worst of both worlds. Ford engineering and styling with Vauxhall ownership. Can't get much worse than that...
