Almost everyone (I'd say everyone, but Jsmooth just proved me wrong) has a gmail account at this point. I bet even Socrates has at least 3, and he's been dead for about 2405 years.

LOL, yes, they're very exclusive.

100 invites which keep restoring to 100 all the time...everyone and his dog has one. All anyone has to do is ask  You'd have to have the same number of friends as an Enron employee to NOT have one, or know someone who can give you one.

You can also invite Gmail accounts to Gmail, so you can end up with about forty thousand accounts if you want

And POP3, and good filters (I'm running about 6 "Inboxs" due to filtration of my one account), and more space...

Why not? i like it alot. they give you alot of space.

Outlook Express + your own site = big ass mailbox. ¬_¬

GMail sucks anyway. I don't care about the space they give you.

There is the fact that they're in "beta", which means anything going wrong isn't their problem.

Fenring doesn't like anything that doesnt come preloaded on his '98 computer.
He refuses to use firefox, openoffice, or anything modern, with the excuse that its stupid, too hard, or it sucks. Anyone care for some logs of our convos?

Anyways, who here has gtalk, and whats your addies?

Firefox does have some issues for me, like suddenly eating my CPU ("omgwtf"). But my experience with it is better than my experience with other browsers.

As for openoffice, don't criticize something you don't know about just because someone you dislike uses it. I haven't used it either, so I won't comment about its usefullness/lack thereof.

Google Talk is actually a nice client, especially for something in beta (though that doesn't seem to mean much for google). No ads is nice. Problem is that everyone feels stuck on their current service.
