I finished BFME 2 in three days, w00t but i see lots of crap inthe game...some being balancing gayness and others...

Most noticable) The dwarves are way underpowered, I find them to be too slow and homo to win anything, if I get fire arrows to like isengard...they're pretty fucked...

1) Isengard. My games, last 15 minutes at most these days, mainly because I just get archers, and then isengard poofy thing and get the poofy bomb thing and nuke it by the fortress, by then...they're pretty screwed..so that's pretty homo...

2) Minas Tirith. Nothing too big, they just removed ANOTHER level, so now Minas Tirith has two levels, not like the original 3 levels.

3) MEN OF THE WEST! MMMEEEN OF THE WEST! wtf is this crap? 3 Rohan heroes and ONE rohirrim squad? This is complete and utter bullcrap.

4) Elves. As you guys know, archers get flaming arrows, well in the case of Elves, they get uber arrows that when it hits infantry, they fly back like if they got hit by Sauron. BTW that's very very homo...

5) Is it me or Goblin units are FULLY anti-walls, I mean those little half troll guys screw the living crap out of walls...

Now for the good campaign...

In level 2 Haldir was in the High Pass, near Ettenmoot...now...why the hell would Haldir be there? He needs to rush back to Lothlorien or whereever and collect his elves THEN rush to Helms Deep, I don't think he has that much time to aid Glorfindel and Gloin then go back to fight.

What's really strange about the good campaign is that...the nazgul seem to be able to show up EVERYWHERE now think about this...for example, at the siege of Dul Guldur, the nazgul showed up not FROM the fortress but as reinforcements with this giant army, at that point it was the battle of Minas Tirith or Pellenor fields OR even outside of the black gate, but it's at that time period, and the nazgul couldn't have switched back and forth that quickly....

And lastly, Galadriel uses this giant whirlwind to take out Dol Guldur, and...well...if she could do that in the first place why did the game make me waste half a damn hour taking out the goddamn fortress when she could have done that all along?

I don't think BFME2 was written on the basis of promoting Tolkein's work. It was written on the back of the success of BFME1.

Ie. $$$$$

I doubt I will be bothering with it from the reviews I've read so far. I think the mods people are releasing for BFME1 are far more interesting.

Well, I've had it since yesterday, and I have to say there is a lot of stuff I'm recognicing from BFME 1.
For example, the living world map is now the map for the "The war of the ring"

Well no crap I mean they're not going to make a totally new map for that feature, they just added more maps and took away alot, which i didn't like, I wanted to take on westfold then eastfold then south fold then north fold! THEN westnorthfold :3 not just one stupid map called Rohan -.- but I mainly got BFME 2 for the modding capabilities, I can mod it to my LOTR needs :3

I find it really difficult to understand your criticism when you refer to somthing as "homo".. what exactly does this word mean these days? As far as I know it means "the same", but prehaps you use it differently these days.. :p

When i use homo i mean like...
hmm...
it's kind of like having 50 trolls sent at your army of hobbits which you cna't defend yourself against and having Sauron pissing on their dead bodies afterwards. I use homo to describe that feeling of crappiness of whatever topic i'm talking about :3 that was hard for me to explain because I caught it off my english friends on this chat thingy o.o

i think homo originally means 'man'. anyway, on topic:

1) yes, buildings and walls are too weak
2) minas tirith never had 3 levels, it always had 2
3) agreed, but there's simply not much left for rohan (elves and ents are gone, as well as legolas and gimli)
4) they only knock back when they are fatal, so it's only for looks
5) see point 1)

about haldir being in high pass, i think it's the easiest road from rivendell to lorien

Just done the second mission, there are good points and some things EA fucked up badly on ...

Glorfindel > White hair - WTF?!?!?
Elrond needs a mount
Bombadil too strong

Skins look better than in 1 on Ultra Low
EA worked well on powers
Missions look as though they are well developed

That's it for now :p

For all you foreigners (haha just teasin :p ), here in the U.S. some people say things or people are "homo" or "gay" if they don't like them or think they're stupid or whatever. Homo is short for homosexual.

Indeed... but giving it 7 levels would require major model changes... even letting you walk above it's gate would require major work (though I found an unused minas tirith gate tower with stairs)... on the other hand EA did leave some stuff from their original 7 level Minas Tirith in the asset files..

a 7 level minas tirith would be like 3 times as big.
imagine sending a battalion of soldiers from the top to the bottom... :p

Sorry for reviveing an old topic but this topic has got a point.
It would take forever to go from top to bottom. Just think how long
it would take those orcs to reach the fort. lol
i gess thats why mordor never reached the fort in time in the movie.
