Since my bfme2 doesnt work, i decided to tinker with models, i sniffed around until i found the create-a-hero models and i messed around with them until i came out with this:

I can't tell which part you've changed. Also, you might want to change the bow to a Galadhrim bow.

A few things:

1. Why EA couldn't just put these guys in the game is beyond me. Good job there in being on the ball and making sure we get our Galadhrim, Kwen.

2.

Also, you might want to change the bow to a Galadhrim bow.

That is a Galadhrim bow. Legolas is the only one who gets a "white" Galadhrim bow (as per the films).

3. I like the separate subobject for the pauldons. Props for that.

4. EA skrewed up the vambraces... Go figure.

5. Some parts of the skin look photographic (breast plate, pauldons, face) while others look drawn (hip armor, boots, scale skirts). This = bleh.

6. Why can't you just be normal and keep all of your work in a single thread? It's not like this thing is so revolutionary that it needs it's own thread or anything.

I think it looks great, but I cant see anything youve made yourself....it looks like EA's high-res haldir with some Create-A-Hero elf parts stuck on it.

To improve it, I suggest making the lower torso armor look bronze like the rest of his armor, it blends in with the skirt too much.

Yes I know there isn't one in BFME2. What I meant was what Windu said, its create-a-hero with the alternative armor deleted.

What's the poly count? The CaH models look absurdly detailed for what they are, along with a couple of other models in the game.

The body isn't that high....some get up to 14000 with all the armor though.

its roughy 4500 with the armour, i was ain a bit of a hurry last night and i do need some editing to do, the upper torso is the create-a-hero elf with the armour and its the same skin, the lower body is a regular elf with haldirs skin applied (thats why they dont match like i said needs editing) and the bow is fine as celeglin said, and the vabbraces, i'll leave for now since i'm worried i'll screw up what model is there with my attempts. i have more i'll show you later primarily the LA version of the same elf and a LA Elnaith

14000 is silly. I know there won't usually be more than 1 per player, but all the same... the non-existant ingame zoom doesn't show them off at all... and they added normal mapping for what?

Someone should do an FPS comparison between playing an"old" race, with lower poly stuff (ie MOTW/isen) and thinks like corrupted wild (who have crazy high poly things like marauders). I'd be interested in the results... maybe there's no difference, but...

I agree....I find myself not even paying attention to the HT Marauders skin because you can't really tell what it what...I think the models from BFME 1 were an acceptable poly count all round, but the skins just needed to be higher quaility.

corrupted wild?!?!?

and yet none the less the topic title does not lie, i was bored... again... and i decided out of random to make a completly unique model with no inspirations whatsoever. i could not properly render this one because due to the fact that my computor got reformatted i lost all my programs photoshop included so i had to use the w3dviewer screenshot button (F7 for anyone who didnt know) as for EA's screwed anims i just used the old style boromir instead of one of the new ones which would have been way cooler......

but with no further adue i present my latest fret of kitbashing...
