windows and textboxs are something that comes with Delphi, not Turbo Pascal or Borland Pascal. I believe it's better for you to use the read or readln code than making up such a window, specially because it's a school work .
Btw, this code is ver confusing... could you allow us at least to see where a procedure starts or ends.. and where is the main procedure (begin -> end. )?
Pascal help.!

You explained that the hashes are parts of code we need to fill in, but there is no better way to start and understand the code if you dont have aOh, I probably should of explained it. The hashes are the parts of the code we need to fill in.
Also, the I would use readln, but we are been assessed on textboxes and such.
begin
{ < insert your code here... blah blah blah > }
end.
As for textboxes, I still recommend readln or use them on Delphi, not on Turbo Pascal or Borland Pascal...
