Soul 2.4

Background process. Has something to do with some activity going on somewhere. Sorting junkmail, I think. No value or interest. Doesn't do much except hog resource.

uhm, can there be tenches built? can engineers build anything? it would be pretty cool if an engineer went out and rigged up some AT mines and made some small trenches for the troops to hide and ambush in.

what about mortar pits? i think just about every side should be able to build mortar pits... (i love mortars!)

also, a mortar team? or mortar truck? im thinkin maybe a half track with a machine gun and mortar? or, kinda like the flak trak, but the motar has much better range, and can hole 2 guys that can shoot out of it?

Infantry cant deploy into buildings & I have considered letting engineers lay mines but I haven’t tested it out, I’m not too sure about its feasibility.

I’m not a fan of mortars & they are pretty redundant because of SPGs & towed artillery so there isn’t a need for them.

Hm, they make better anti-infantry...which is all they're used for now. Since I expect infantry will die at the mere whiff of cordite I expect mortars wouldn't be needed, but would be cool.

I don't see why engis couldn't lay mines...a deploy weapon thingy prolly wouldn't interfere. Alternately, could be a sapper unit who can lay them and also detect and detonate them harmlessly (minesweeper type)?

well, slightly innacurate mortars would make good infantry battles.
and engineers that lay mines will make the player have a few spare engineers layin around so he can quickly mine up a road. maybe mines can be 1 ammo bar, and it reloads after 30 seconds? so that way an engineer has infinite mines, but takes a bit.

ehh... infantry cant get in buildings? or you mean deploy in buildings? (im being dumb right now)
