WRONG! In the books Thorin Personally says:

"If we dont get blown off, or drowned, or struck by lightning, we shall be picked up by some Giant and kicked sky-high for a football!"

For some reason that doesnt strike me as metaphorical!

Not really... They could actually get kicked Sky High by them giants! Not to mention, since when do Boulders kick people, dwarves, Hobbits, or Wizards "Sky High"? Last I checked they would probably make you sink down lower...

Hoozah! I found another Quote that makes it seem Literal. This comes Right after Thorin's Quote:

Now does it still seem Figurative in any way?
