ok you do NOT!!! place maps in that folder
you place then in this folder

C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator\My Documents\Command and Conquer Generals Zero Hour Data\Maps

the tech airfiled will be in 8.0 in some maps like the af gen challenge
but if your really that desperate goto the world builder and put the tech airifled in

THIS 1 WARNING (not an admin warning ;) )
DO NOT I REAPEAT DO NOT TOUCH THE DOZER BAY!!!
you will become addicted it to it and put it in every map you want

im not kidding.....

There are some 'fan made' maps on this forum site right now that have the Tech civilian airfield if your interested.

As for Project Raptor mod 'official' maps, You'll probably have to wait until future versions of PR to come out, for more maps that have the Tech Airfield on them.

My best advice to you though, is to download a copy of the worldbuilder manual, and start learning how to place objects onto your own maps. It's not difficult to do that. It was one of the first things I learned about in worldbuilder.

World Builder manual at:
http://www.ea.com/of...der.jsp?state=6

Just remember one thing though. If you edit a map, and want to play someone else online (or through direct connect) then the person on the other end MUST have the same modified map otherwise you will get an error, and will not be able to play it.

I had a problems on a few occasions where I would modify a custom map, save it back as the same name (which I don't do anymore), and then go and play a game via direct connect (on a home computer network). It will error out saying that we didn't have the same map, or some other crappy error like that. I don't remember, It's over been a year now since I've had that happen. Ya know the memory is the first thing to go. :umad:

All I can say (and remember) is that I had a map that was modified with a tech dozer bay, and the other players wasn't. When we tried it, it came up with an error. I don't remember exactly what the error said (too long ago), and I don't think it downloaded the modified copy to the other players machine. As I remember, I just went ahead and put it on disk, walked over to the other computer and manually loaded it, and others, in. (remember, this was a home network. Not far to go. So doing a disk was easy to do.)

The Tech Dozer Bay is the granddaddy of all tech structures. Once you capture this structure you can build as many dozers and/or workers from ANY AND ALL SIDES (except the Militia side). Meaning you can play multiple sides at once, and have almost complete control of them. The only thing you can't get is generals promotional powers, or items that need a promotion point to unlock and build a unit.

Just as a heads up. There is a situation to be aware of though. Occasionally, I have run across games (from previous versions of PR) that I have been in, where the game crashes, or mysteriously develops a nasty situation in which I lose of control of all my units. Meaning I can't select any of my already built units for the remainder of the game. This usually occurs after I have built more than 3 or 4 sides. So I would recommend that you or your human opponents don't go crazy and build more than 2 or 3 additional sides.

Other than that, I think it's the best tech item in the world of Zero Hour mods!
