Q: Can I blow up planets, stars, stargates?
A: Yes, certain technologies will allow you to detonate planets. Anubis' superweapon ship is a playable vehicle in the game, provided you control certain systems to gain the 5 "Eye" jewels that Anubis was seeking in "Full Circle", once these planets are controlled, Anubis superweapon ship will be a playable vehicle, and unlike the Deathstar in EaW standard, blowing the ship up will NOT end the game, but it will prevent you from building anymore of that ships class because the "Eye" jewels will go down with the ship. Asgard will be able to destroy planets as well, but they are less likely too and it is a much more expensive venture for their spacecraft, particularly since the Asgard will be on the ropes, resource wise, for much of the game, but their superior weapons will balance that out.
