Losing the right to have your own unique hair style isn't losing your individuality, it's part of looking uniform with everyone else. You're not supposed to be unique. If you have some huge puffy '80s hairdo, nobody's going to take you seriously. Same as if you appear on a porn site (They fired a Marine sergeant a couple weeks ago because nude pictures of her were on the internet), nobody will ever again listen to you.

You see, this whole debate is the one reason why I love the Air Force. Although there are still standards, by no means are they as strict as the army or marines. And there is a much larger sense of individuality as far as I have seen.

I've already given my opinion of long hair on males. It's almost never seen where it looks tidy, or clean. I've seen...a total of maybe three guys who had longer-than-neck-length hair and were able to a) pull it off and b) keep it clean and not greasy.

So guys, if you must have it long, have it in a pony tail.

Believe me, all you opponents of the Army way (myself included), you signed up on the dotted line. It's in your job description.

Actually, that wouldn't be the usual definition...usually it would be to get the girls interested. A lot of girls like a man in uniform
