Some of you may have been adventurers of my site back in the days of original BFME 1.
Well between the time of the BFME 2 BETA release and the final game release I've been working hard on a new site, BFMEMAPS.COM will soon be released to the world in all its glory; a proper download system, forum system, news system and photo gallery, all seemingly intergrated with each other and interactive to all users. The site now has a much more dynamic feel to it with greater and richer qualities.
Enough about the site, let's get to the video tutorials! It's true that WB2 is extremely similar to WB1, and therefore my original video tutorials, recommended by Apoc from EA, are still compatible and you can still learn a lot from them if you are new to the World Builder tool.
If you are intrested in creating your own video tutorials for the World Builder, I used a program called Camtasia Studio to record them. :-)
So, here they are! All of these video tutorials are copyrighted to Matthew Davies, 2005-2006.
For Beginners
[Video] World Builder Beginners Tutorial (Approx 10 mins - Recommended to all beginners)
Scripting
[Video] Command Points Tutorial
[Video] Intro Text Tutorial
[Video] Money Tutorial
[Video] Object Health Tutorial
[Video] Object Sizing Tutorial
[Video] Power Points Tutorial
[Video] Teleporting Tutorial
[Video] Unit Death = Lose Game Tutorial
You will find a couple more tutorials at BFMEMAPS.COM, they are not listed here for WB2 compatibility
issues.
These may seem very basic to those of you that have built up your World Builder skills, but just taking a look at these tutorials can start you off into the complex world of scripting! So to all those of you intrested in making exciting things happen in maps, or giving your players tons of money, pop cap etc, you may want to get some basic scripting under your belt!
You'll be pleased to know that I'll soon be starting work on some more video tutorials, specifically for the WB2, covering such topics as the three new water tools, new objects and other such things.
That's it for now folks!
