Can't you use notepad for that? Just copy and paste it in there?

real men code by hand

we weren't fed with programs that do our mod for us, we learnt it the hard way, and now we're not complaining to Phil so he releases a program per task.

i started from scratch.... NOBODY taught me... and when i started about a year and a half ago NOBODY cared. so it was up to me to do all the modding work myself... and you know what... i did it... i am now a fairly good modeler. Phil, your programs are truely impressive. but for you impatient people, to let you know, just try and learn on your own, by the time these come out you'll be good enough to do it anyway.

but good luck to your programs phil!

  •  This place looks familiar. I can't remember why.

Yes, I code by hand, but I don't mind programs that make it go faster... I am perfectly capable of making my own Hordes, but the Horde Builder saves alot of time. My result: Programs are usefull, but nothing to bother someone about. If he wants to make one, let him. If he doesnt have time, leave the guy alone!

I know notepad allows you to do that i just dont like to waste 0.5 secs switching windows lol, and i think it would be a nice feature for a ini coding tool because it make things faster, maybe not much but with lots of features you could really speed up codding thus you can concentrate on the creative part of modding not the tedious work.

his IP doesn't say so.

Phil is probably not interested in BfME Modding anymore. I'll unpin that now, with the hope that I may someday pin it back for a great announcement (FX viewer :p)

Wow cheddikins what a perfect time to surprise you then its 99% done and it has the shiz graphics. Write now it is based on a 2d particle system but i have advanced Physics that make it look 3d. Theres just one bug (im looking for it still) and once thats done Ill take the ParticleEngine i made and port it to an editor and for all those programmers out there Ill have an accessible .dll to make your own edittor or modify it. What got me destined to do this Is im finishing up a massively huge 2D GameEngine and once this is done im adding 3d to it. Well im at my aunts right now and i will be here for the next couple days ill hope to come in here as often as this proj. will let me.

Off for now, have fun guys ttyl. ==Phil-Galad

so does it load the INI particle FX file and list 'em all for you to view/edit ? If so, I'm gonna be squealing like a little school girl at an NSync concert.

Well I have an Idea! :p

Doubt you'll make it though, or even be able to make it :p

Anyways, an Error finder! It could be like the Assetcachebuilder, you place it in your data\ini folder and when you use it, it will search the files and display all errors, and if possible, all "OBJECT:GondorStarSpace" stuff that doesn't have a reference in lotr.str.... It would've been sweet to have! And much easier, and if it would catch game.dat error aswell... Expecially the ones you get in-game

Anyways, I got the feeling your gone, and that you, nor others, will do this :(

i'm already on it :D

edit: download: http://bfmemod.bartv...rrorChecker.zip

so far it makes a list of all your upgrades (including those in #included files) and then goes trough all the files in data\ini\object to check for missing upgrades

extract the .exe file into your mod's root folder and run it
