Too cute! | Server Status: If you can read this, it's up |Well, when it comes to writing an expository essay about counter-insurgent tactics, I'm of the old school. First you tell them how you're going to kill them. Then you kill them. Then you tell them how you just killed them.

And tbh, I wouldn't be at all bothered, as I don't tend to play RockStar games much. However, the GTA radios would become cluttered with god-awful EA Trax...which has got to be the shittiest compilation of the world's worst music ever.
NFS and Burnout have both been utterly ruined, pissed on, and shit on by this feature. Burnout 3 contained only one good track (This Fire by Franz Ferdinand), while no other game from either series has had anything else decent.
PGR is going a similar route (although not owned by EA), altho it has GOOD tracks, and also has the ability for you to add your own.

Well actually you can play your own tracks on any 360 game thanks to the guide system. On the Xbox it was only on PGR, but not its halo and everything. kinda relaxing when you're playing Xbox Arcade actually.
But EA couldnt really screw Rockstar up I think, they have their own way of doing things and even EA would know not to bother with their formulas. EA rather makes GTA clones with cheaper compagnies. Pus Buying Rockstar isnt smart with all the legal cases around that compagny, could cost them lots of money..

I doubt EA would be interested in purchasing such classics as Manhunt, Warriors and the GTA series as it would wreck their games for the younger (upto around 16-17 year olds) market.
Don't believe me, take a look at their frontpage
http://www.electronicarts.co.uk/
If you squint you can see all the games, including the shoot em' ups are aged from 3+ to 16+. 18+ games are not EA's style.

But yeah, EA doesn't like 18+...they do sell well to kids, tho, by pumping out their yearly updates.

I doubt a takeover would happen but I guess anything can happen these days.
