Tree House (defensive tower thingy)
Blacksmith (upgrade producer)
Woodcutter (Produces battering rams)

Campfire (Builds strong merry men and gives leadership
Stables (Trains Sherwood Cavalry and Loyal Knights)

Power Tree:
Heal - Rallying Call - Forest (elven wood)
Nothing else yet

Feel free to contribute ideas.

Well
Statue

Pictures of random things from the game:

The short dude with the pitchfork is what the sherwood pitchforkers look like and the tall dude with the club is the strong merry man.

Posted Image
2 cavalrymen, 2 lancers (at the gate), a swordsman, and on the top are an officer and knight. (you cant see the cavalrymens flails)

Posted Image
Prince john is the dude in pink.

The guy in the upper right of the 4 guys is scathlock
the guy in the lower right is guy of guisborne
the guy in the lower left is the sherriff
the guy in the upper left is uh... longchamps

Robin Hood, Maid Marian, Little John, Friar Tuck, Will Scarlet, and Stutely (in that order i think)

So yea any help will be appreaciated. Mostly moddlers and skinners are needed but any help will be good.

Why make a mod about a game when that game can be gotten as well? Seems a bit unnecessary. Maybe if you would make a mod about the actual Robin Hood novel..

Lighten up Matias! You always seem to be trying to put everyone down! It looks like a great Idea for a mod! The BFME 2 system would work really, really well with it (Fire on the ground, Rangers Hiding in trees, all the cool junk). I would join, but all I can mostly do is mapping :p

Yeah, it does seem a tad redundant. Cool idea, but not really needed.

And Speeder, I'm loving the sig :p

If you cant be realistic and still be polite, keep your opinion to yourself. If all you do is critisise people without giving FRIENDLY advice, or at least a small compliment, you dont really need to be posting. If everyone whent around being 100% realistic, T3A would be ALOT smaller for lack of enthusiasm.

I would agree with you, IF the game was similar to the mod he intends to make.
I played the demo of it a long time back, and if I recall correct, it is just like the commando series. You get a few men and have to do a serie of missions.

What Lord Dragonclaw wants to do, is to put those hero's (and villans) in BFME and add troops, making it not a copy of the original game, but a strategy mod of it. Of course, he could try to mod the troops in the original game, but somehow I believe this BFME II mod is the easier way.

@ Lord Dragonclaw

Maybe it won't be the most original mod, but it is certainly one I will be looking forward to!

I agree with Solinx. The idea he's put forward is a good one- inspired by the old game (which, from those photos i might have to install and try out - if i'm not mistaken its one of the ones in those 6-pack games you pick up for $5 that i never actually installed.)

It will include a lot more individual units than most bfme2 mods, be very much about keeping your guys alive, and strategically using the maps. I think the idea is great, and will also look forward to it.

I'm actually busy too, but when you've built something up (mock up your idea with bfme characters in a map?) for people to be inspired by, you should get more interested help.

Well, I think its a good idea also. You should also do it to improve modding skills, and dont be discouraged.

In my opinion, Matias, you could be nicer. However, youre not doing anything wrong so you dont need to if you dont want to. @ Fingulfin: Glad you stick up for people......but Fingulfin....he DID offer advice (thats why I'm quoting you) so stop murdering him. And Fingulfin, if you want to keep telling Matias what he is doing wrong, I for one think you should PM him. The way youre going at him, give it a nasty title while your at it....

Ahh DragonClaw, good to see you round here and on a mod. I really like the sound of this mod as it adds lots of many simple things. It keeps the old "bow and sword" weapons in the game so......

I'll have to keep an eye out for this mod.

You are telling me I shouldn't be posting? That I'm not ''nice''? well first of all I don't have to be nice on a forum, I can say what I think to whoever I think off, and I do think that my presence is at least a bit appreciated by some people. On the subject of being nice howerver, Wasn't it me and the team of Visions who were so friendly to your VAL studios (who, as of yet, havent done anything)by giving our old gondor soldier skin? And wasn't it me who actually made that Dol Amroth shield for you, and had to ASK to be credited for it? That's not very nice either now, is it?

@Master Windu and Matias

Please continue your argument somewhere else.
It's fine to have one, just not here. I suggest going to the offtopic forum.

@ Lord Dragonclaw

I just noticed you want to 'just' add 2 new factions. Why not remove the others? Orcs and elves don't really go with the Robin Hood theme and it gives you more room to balance your own factions.

If you do not want to remove them all, you could leave in the men as a third faction. The could pass on as another party in the conflict of the english throne.

Well Ill leave the old factions in because there wont be new AI and i want to fight against someone and not only online.

I actually wasnt going to have the units as single units. Now that you mention it that may be a good idea though hard to pull off, (single units die too fast to buildings with defenses)
