if you dont wnat the modtoaster to take up half your hard drive space by downloading every mod then the answer is no casue you cannot have to mods running at once casue they will cause confilcts and casue zero hour to crash

Well, to get technical, you can. I have a mod (well, had) called Naval Wars 3.0, that has a seperate launch system for it. anyways, I had PR installed and decided to see if I could run 2 mods at once. It was successful. I was running PR with units from the Naval Wars mod. The point is, it CAN be done.

If you combine the files just right then yes two mods can be used at once.

Mod Toaster Homepage

Karl: Mod Toaster 2 can still work with all the mods downloaded at once, it worked fine for me. Although I do have to agree about the disk space, you may want to be a little picky about which ones you download. Although I think it's still smaller than downloading the installer for every single one of those.

I seriously don't think that he (or anyone else) wants to run both games at the same time, most normal people don't. Mod Toaster won't let you do that either. But if your looking for a good way to switch between many different mods, then Mod Toaster is a good choice. There are other mod swapping programs out there, but I personally haven't tried them.

In Mod Toaster (version 1 at least, haven't tried version 2 yet), You can select which mods you want to download and which ones you don't. So, it is not necessary, as someone else stated, to download every single one of them. Just keep in mind that some mods (ours in particular) are quite large, and require a sizable chunk of real estate if your using older machines. So, having multiple mods may really take up a huge chunk of real estate on your hard drive. But, now-a-days with multi-gig hard drives, typically this isn't an issue. However, if you're running a older hard drive challenged machine, it might have a significant impact on your drive space.

Version 2 is the same way, Mod Toaster itself is just a program that lets you get to their servers and download mods, along with running them without messing up your folders.

Also, Version 2 lets you add any mod to the list from your computer. Haven't tried it yet, but this means you aren't limited to the mods they put up.

What I did was I ran the Naval Wars 3.0 starter program (it has a seperate starting icon, so you don't always have to play with it) while I still had PR 7.0 installed.

The latest Modtoaster is v2.1 which works with The First Decade as well as Zero Hour, the latest nifty feature is importing .big files from .zip files so even if they don't have a specific mod available there's a good chance you can build your own .big to be able to use it in Modtoaster.

simple solution if you dont wanna use Modtoaster.

Make a copy of a fresh (totally clean and no mods installed) zero hour folder.

Install PR in one copy and Shockwave in the other. now use the lauch the game from those folders to play either raptor or shockwave.

PS: Shockwave launcher is pretty good and allows you access to even zero hour even with shockwave installed. so bascially this way you can have shockwave, PR and Zero hour all working at the same time.

How do I uninstall a mod?
Here are the steps that need to be taken to uninstall a mod: (typically this way)

Step 1: Click on the Start button.
Step 2: Click on Control Panel.
Step 3: Click on Add/Remove Programs.
Step 4: Scroll down until you find whatever mod your trying to uninstall.
Step 5: Click on Remove. (or uninstall)

Wallah mod whatever is now uninstalled.

At this point you can stop; however, I highly recommend that Generals and Zero Hour also be uninstalled.

Anytime you intend to uninstall any kind of mod, (not just Project Raptor) it is highly recommended that you uninstall the mod, Generals, and Zero Hour, as well. This will prevent you from having any remnant files hanging around that uninstallers miss. These remnant files could mess up Zero Hour, or the next mod you intend to install.

To uninstall Generals and Zero Hour use the same steps as above, except in step 4 replace Whatever mod with Zero Hour, then again with Generals.

After that has been completed, then you will need to go to the following folders (using windows explorer or similar program) and delete any remaining files and folders:

C:\Program Files\EA Games\Command & Conquer Generals Zero Hour

C:\Program Files\EA Games\Command and Conquer Generals

[note exact path names may differ on your computer due to what version of windows you're using, and whether or not you're using a shared desktop or not.]

After all of that has been completed. Go ahead and reinstall all of your Generals and Zero Hour programs and patches. I know this is a lot of work but it will save you a ton of headaches in the future. Trust me on this one.

As for your second question, "Will ModToaster download every mod automatically?"
The answer is no it doesn't. You must select which ones you want to download from a list, and then it downloads it. After you download the mods you want, you can then switch back and forth between different mods at a click of a mouse.

PS - Some friendly advice: Tone down the :p 's attitude or people are going to ignore you, and your pleas for help.

Modtoaster gives you the option of selecting the mods you want to install, which are downloaded seperately and installed seperately.
A few of the mods are quite large and up to a tad over 200 meg

You can't build these things because they were either beta PR that never made it into PR or were removed in 7.0. Helipad? I dunno. Naval Yards? Removed in 7.0, coming back in 8.0. Hueys? glitchy, possibly removed or they never made it. The Crashing? Haven't you ever heard of going into "Add or Remove Programs" and removing the AF Mod?

That should answer your question, which I only answered because I'm a nice guy. Bob's right. Turn off the heat towards us or it could be considered flaming, and you could be banned for that. You got mad at us for no reason we had control over. VG is the one you'd wanna bring it to, but I'm sure he wouldn't want to be flamed. So please, stop flaming.

As for the threats thing? heck, the U.S. government could get you for threatening Americans with terrorist attacks. Sure, some of us aren't American, but you have no idea who, do you? Except maybe Pals.
