After consulting with chemix, we've decided The One Ring will be the Lineage Scrolls of Roju. Why? Because in order to be The Shogun, you had to prove your lineage. This was used by diamyos and falsified to fit thiere needs to be a Shogun.

So If you can secure the Scrolls like the One Ring, than you are closer to being the next Shogun. With the scrolls, you can build your factions diamyo hero.

Just a suggestion, and I don't even know if this is possible, but maybe you could make the daimyos normally buildable heros, ad then when you get the scrolls, he upgrades to a shogun with a new skin, new powers, and better stats.

it should be possible, every time a hero levels up he gets an improved stat, then Vapula's haldir changed skins at lvl 5 and i'm not sure about the powers

so did gandalf and gtw, and what will be carrying this around? i mean what will replace gollum? (which is complete bollocks to use that in bfme2 imo)

We could not come up with a logical carrier, so we put the idea on hold for the moment. I believe once we have some more done, something will strike one of us and the solution will come.

We really could just have some nameless peasant carry it. The carrier identity is not that important as the item he carries. IMO

or a batallion which could be called shoguns messenger or something, and they are moving around trying to get someone to give the Scrolls of Roju to some guy high up in the food chain

what ever it is, make sure its stronger than gollum, make it more of a challenge to get it

or maybe like a uber vampire demon that will own anything you send at it short of seige weapons and uber strong heroes?

The whole point of golem was that he was something that you would have to look hard to find * And it damned well is for anyone except Gondor* (I usualy let the AI do it and just wipe out whatever has it and take it with a nice fast cavalry hero)

I suggest having a gandolf reskin run around with it, as a scribe or something.

Agreed watever u choose to make it just make sure its alot stronger than gollum.

Well if he is scarey, that'll make the units stunned when encountering him. Believe me, if I saw dead uncle joe running around I'd be stunned.
