Maybe Koma forgets that IE is so easy to get spyware into. FF is not so. But that doesn't matter, does it Koma? ;)

I don't know what you're problem is. I used IE6 for a long, long time and never really collected much spyware. Maybe the odd cookie or registry key. I did get the CoolWeb search hijacker but that's the most serious one I've ever gotten with IE. I was able to rid myself of that anyway.

Your lucky then. You can put an average PC on the web with no protection and nine out of ten times it will have spyware on it within 10 minutes. And no, I didn't just make that up.

@Paradox - You don't use tabbed browsing?!? Thats half the fucking feature set man! I don't think I've opened FF once and not used at least 2 tabs.

I just don't like accidentally closing down six windows. Besides, you can't alt+tab between tabs, or click them from your taskbar (I use the taskbar a lot).

Ctrl+Tab = tab switching.

It prompts you an extra time if you close more than one tab.

Unless you disable the warning.

Yeah of course, but he claims he doesn't want to close all the tabs in once with one click, so why would he disable that warning if it can help him?

And 10 times out of 10, assholes get that spyware for visiting free porn websites trying to find some free pics.

I don't have a issue with spyware for those who are asking.

I would have to disagree with your first line.

But we're getting slightly offtopic here. This isn't the endless "IE vs FF" fight. We know there won't be reached agreement there anyway.

Actually, it more or less IS the IE vs FF argument, since AOL Explorer is a really, really, really gay, cheap ripoff of IE with a few "features" built in.

"Features", of course, being akin to Microsoft's "features", except more like malware than bugs.

I'm gonna rebel and not take a side
Or rather, take the side of Mozilla (tabbed browsing=luxury), but remain as one of the 80% of internet users using IE  on the grounds that, the content of the site is more important to me than the buttons floating above it.
EDIT: Bah! D/Led Mozilla... Mt IE's inability to display .png's was too darn annoying, and hey! this is faster!

because the vast majority of FF users are under the age of 20, trying to look "cool" by being different....even tho they ain't being diference since everyone i using it to try to look different.

I just realized that you posted this. If that was the case, then Opera would be more popular than it currently is. The people using it are under the age of 20 because they are usually the most up to date on the subject of security and aren't afraid to change browsers. Try thinking about things before trying to knock on a certain age group.

People who are born with aids stay with aids. But those who develop it can stop it before it does harm. Koma grew up with IE, slept with IE, and installed IE. Therefore, Koma = Shit.

If you start using IE suddenly, youll see that its SHIT, and get firefox.
So, firefox = pwn, Koma = old.

Funny, I have Firefox, IE, and Opera installed at work, and Firefox and IE installed at home. I consistently use IE for about 95% of my daily browsing. Firefox is mainly useful for debugging Javascript, and the occasional website that sets off my danger meter. I only really used to use FF at work because IE wasn't supported by the IT staff for installing our certificates, and now that that's changed I'm back to IE. Of the default FF features, the only one I find remotely useful is the Google bar, and I just use the Google Toolbar for IE which has more features and is more useful than the FF search box. Otherwise, the most dangerous piece of spyware I've had in ages has been a tracking cookie, and maybe a couple files in my temp folder.

Well, when it comes to writing an expository essay about counter-insurgent tactics, I'm of the old school. First you tell them how you're going to kill them. Then you kill them. Then you tell them how you just killed them.

I find Legion's words a bit harsh here.

I use FF mainly because it has tabbed browsing. I rarely browse just one site.

Funnily, I actually wish I could REMOVE the Google Search box on FF. Google's my homepage anyway, so what use have I for such?
