It's been a long time since you've had a beta, and alot has changed. Delete your old version(s), and extract all of the files in the ZIP to any directory.
The zip is at the download site. Those of you with source code access (ask for it if you want the C++ source code), it is available.

New things in this beta:
- Totally recoded UI
- Initial version of the SCAR/AI editor
- RGD editor
- LUA viewer
- LUA to RGD burn / mass burn
- Extract file / mass extract
- Data generic is now mapped into the file tree
- Various fixes

Things not implemented that were in beta 0.2:
- Module file editor does virtually nothing as I haven't had time to redo it with the new UI
- XML exporter as it is being redone

Things I'm not happy with:
- Large LUA files take a LONG time to open/burn

Things I did not have time to implement: (should be here in 0.4 or 0.5)
- LUA editor
- RGD to LUA decompiler
- Snapshot tool
- RGD/LUA integration with UCS
- Searching of UCS files
- Searching of RGD/LUA files

Why did I not have time?
I'm going to be doing very little coding for the rest of the month as I have exams :( and alot has changed since the last beta, so I thought I should release a beta anyway.

Comments please

Very first and limited impressions (it's rather late here...)
- everything opens up smoothly and seems organised logically
- I would have liked the program to also load the Engine section
- I've set the locale to french for the module, then changed it in the tools to english, but the program kept opening the french ucs. Do you need to exit the program for the changes to take place ?

It does load engine files and data generic. But I have just noticed that it does not load engine UCS.

Do you need to exit the program for the changes to take place
iIt does say "Changes only take effect when the mod is loaded". Was that unclear or in a place where it isn't read? If so it needs to be made more obvious. Eihter that, or make it load the chosen UCS.

The Engine problem was my fault. I forgot that my Engine Folder is not unpacked in my DoW.
As for the locale being used, the message was there, but it could have been more explicit. Don't forget that I am french and have no experience in programer's language, so I am doubly a foreigner here. ;)
The rgd are opened real fast, and the mod is loaded much much faster than with the AE. :D

I went a bit further and here are a few remarks as I come along. I don't know if they are of any use :

- The UCS file is opened when I use the tab for tools, but not if I use the command : Mod > Ucs editor
- Reading the teamcolour files to allow to change their in game name would be interesting
- DoW Mod Studio loads the luas and rgd for the vanilla races, but not for my custom mod. Is that intentional ? If I modify a lua, does it burn automatically the correponding rgd when I click "save" ? If so, what is the use to load both lua and rgd ?
- having the already opened files in a bloomberg style band over the top is not very practical after a while. A "history" tab would be more useful IMO (I am so used to Photoshop...)
- could you make the choices of squad loadout type being in a list rather then have to type everything manualy ? In my experience, the worst headaches come from the tiniest typos, so anything that can be done to prevent typos is great. Same goes for the weapons in the ebps, abilities, etc...
- everytime you open a different file, the column width reverts to default, which is annoying.
- I couldn't figure yet what the attrib snapshot does.

Oki, that's all for today.
Hope this helps...

Will look at it sometime if I get some good time, to give some critique/feedback. Have been away since this was annouced, poor me, so didn't have a chance to even get it yesterday or today and test it :(

Beta 0.3.2 up which has the much faster LUA load times then 0.3.0, plus:
- Fixes the "broken_modifiers" bug which broke the DoWPro beta ( )
- Only burns the LUAs in this mod when you do a burn of a folder
- Think it loads the engine UCS files
