Hes still releasing music, so I think hes actually alive but living underground where he well be woken up when one day medical advancements can treat sevre gun shot wounds.

I don't know, I've read some conspiracy theories scened his death to be save of his rather nasty background with gangs and stuff. But then this was ages ago since I listened to this music.
