Though less known, doesn't mean less well.
This music stream usually has a drummachine in it and a lot of electronical aneastethic dark sound to it.
This is one of later stream from the 80's alternative scene.

Bands who belong to this stream:
Collide, Siouxsie and The Banshees, Switchblade Symphony (the best of this stream IMHO)
...and probably loads more. Lol.

Never heard of those bands or the style before. Do you think it's good?

I think it's really good, it's got a very unusual dark and gloomy atmosphere to it. No heavy vocals.. nice melodic tunes.. dark themed..

If I recall, you sent me a little Switchblade, and I wasn't so impressed. But again, you've sent me a couple of samples of various bands, to the point I don't know who's what anymore

I'm not so sure about overusing the synth. Aeon Drive did that (I guess they'd be Darkwave), and it just didn't push my buttons at all.

Collide is indeed great. I don't get why I do like them because there is almost no guitars if none at all, only some kind of electronic beat but they are just awesome I love the vocals and the whole songs themselves - they just have something lots of such bands don't.

I like collide and switchblade symphony but I also like some electronica and trance so it's hardly suprising.
