Today is 22 of April - the greatest Soviet Holiday - The Birthday of Vladimir Ilyich Ulyanov aka Lenin. Today it is his 136th Birthday, it was on this day in 1870 that he was born - one of the most important people in worlds history!

Be proud, Our free Motherland
The Bastion of Peoples Friendship
Lenins Party - the Strength of the People
Us to the victory of communism leads
(Taken from the hymn of the Soviet Union )

Simple, but misunderstood, who believed in love with hate, and in hate with love. The last Titan, a foreign element, removed and angry. Monstrously inhuman in his severe kindness, deadly right in his sentimental cruelty, firm and righteous in his brilliant mistakes, cynical idealist, wise fanatic, obstinate wanderer, sharp-sighted blind man. Blessed by the skies to assault the skies themselves, which despised death and exceeded life, forever forgotten God in order to become his instrument. Suffered a crushing defeat - and gained unprecedented victory. Left us in order to never return - and forever remained with us.

Hey, for the Russian (the only ones who really care Lenin's B-day is just another excuse to get drunk.

Then again, perhaps they're drunk this often to forget about Lenin and his bro's the commies.

This program, though reasonably normal at times, seems to have a strong affinity to classes belonging to the Cat 2.0 program. Andre 2.7 will break down on occasion, resulting in garbage and nonsense messages whenever it occurs. Usually a hard reboot or pulling the plug solves the problem when that happens.

Russian? It's workers of the WORLD unite.

Also, 42% of Russians said they could do with another Stalin. If that's the figures for Stalin, I imagine the ones for Lenin must be far higher. The Soviet bloc has got worse, not better, since the USSR collap- sorry, since they were 'liberated from years of tyranny and oppression.'

42% of statistics are made up on the spot, a link please to confirm your numbers?

Most statistical studies are misleading, a lot of times they're put out by special interest groups which target specific "random" people to stack their results.

Good lord Spencer, this coming from a man who suggested a couple of months ago that a survey of 1000 people was about 99% accurate? I don't remember you mentioning this while defending your own statistics!

It depends on if you know that a reputable source put out the statistics. See, I don't trust your statistics, I trust mine.

For no reason other than they were yours. You gave no more information (in fact i think you gave less) than I did regarding them.

I see no reason to consider them a disreputable source: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/VCIOM

Another survey by them says: http://www.russiavot...rg/slide395.htm

Just goes to show that good propaganda is more important than good leadership.

Well, when it comes to writing an expository essay about counter-insurgent tactics, I'm of the old school. First you tell them how you're going to kill them. Then you kill them. Then you tell them how you just killed them.

And also that 42% of the Russian population appears to be crazy. Wanting communism is one thing. Wanting Stalin is another.

You can't make an omelette without breaking eggs. Or indeed starving them, executing them, or branding them as trotskyists and exiling them.

I WAS joking. 'You can't make an omelette without breaking eggs' is the argument all Stalinists use, but i'm not a Stalinist. Any old fool can see it doesn't work.
