No to the first, probably yes to the second.

We tried to have one once with nations but it was improperly managed...I've also suggested it as a possibility, but it never took off.

Maybe you could make one for RPG and MMORPG together. That would be quite good, because of the popularity of MMORPG at the moment, for example World of Warcraft.

i do play world of warcraft, but i think role playing is taking it a bit far.

What's the difference, except you type your reply instead of pressing ctrl+alt+1 for Frost Shock, ctrl+alt+2 for exploding sheep..etc?

First of all, a real Role Playing Game has a story that takes account of player actions.
Secondly, it focuses much more on the characters.


Since you don't have any role-playing forums, is there any place I can post one?

Yeah, I know that, but in principle the two are the same; you control a character whose life and actions you play out...but through text rather than mouse clicks (I've been a long time veteran of both so there's not a lot you can teach me )

I'd suggest that somebody with the necessary power move this thread to Feedback and Suggestions...and that others who would support such a venture post their support. Until then, MCV, you could always post it in the Writing forum, under Stories...that makes the most sense at the present moment

I'd be interested in an role playing forum, I'm not much into MMORPG's though. They do share a few similaties however. In the final end I suppose we could make two subforums, if enough people are interested etc, that is. For now, MCV, your story can be posted under 'Stories' here.

Been playing Kotor and Guild wars a bit, and I think the difference between RPG and MMORPG isn't to big, so I guess that making only one forum for both, wouldn't be such a big difference.

I'd be interested in a show of hands as to whom would be interested in seeing a MMORPG Revora site, covering games such as World of Warcraft, with a section within in it for forum based RPG.

Crave 22, Link.The.First, 7th Panzer, Me, Lunder_Blade, 00 Nobody, Ace22, 00 Nobody, Master Chief, and someone else (sory, I can't remember your name.) already have an awesome RP going on called War games in a Project Raptor Sub-Forum.

I think it'd be awesome to get an RP forum because then we could get off VG's hands and could get people more interested in it because they'd actually see it. I think that it'd be awesome and I'm all for it.

Please, people at RAlert (I'm assuming it would be put there) consider it. I mean, Revora is a Creative Community and RPs are certainly creative.

Ah, Smooth. I'll agree with you there.

I've been RPing over at Nation States for some time now, and a few other areas. I wouldn't mind seeing a dedicated forum for it here other than our little area where we waste VG's time.

Rather than place this kind of venture at RCAlert, I would be looking to create a site, and forums for both MMORPG's and Role Playing Games on the forum.

what kind of rpg's would be the style then? dnd? d20 modern/future/starwars? if there was some SRD's for world of darkness one could start up some vampire/werewolf/mage but after what i know there isnt...

im all for it ofcourse
