Can't you just go get service from a cable or phone provider, like lots of us do across the pond once the contract expires?

OLD SIG
When history witnesses a great change Razgriz reveals itself,
first as a dark demon. As a demon it uses it power to rain death upon the land,
and then it dies. However after a period of slumber Razgriz returns
As the demon sleeps, man turns on man.
Its own blood, and madness soon cover the earth.
From the depths of despair awaken the Razgriz.
Its raven wings ablaze in majestic light.
Amidst the eternal waves of time
From a ripple of change shall the storm rise
Out of the abyss peer the eyes of a demon
Behold the Razgriz, its wings of black sheath
The demon soars through the dark skies
Fear and Death trail its shadow beneath
Until Men united wield a hallowed sabre
In Final Reckoning, the beast is slain.

You lost Landship? All of it?!
Damn, that was strongly supporting D-day in giving me a reason to install Red Alert 2 again... :(

Most voxels intact, but I lost all plans, research, etc. Office killed all my documentation (although excel "repaired" one file, it now has numbers, but without the text explaining what the number is thats fairly useless imo), and directory glitch killed some WIP's. And I thought going to TAFE would be the worst part of my day, not getting back.
Yeah, I hate TAFE too... I was caught by a teacher today, and pulled aside for half an hour. I was going to spend that half hour curing cancer, but instead ended up going over my plans for the future and explaining I actually have a medical certificate to say I can't do logarithims. Hell, I can't even spell the damn thing(s)!

Technical And Further Education (institute therof)
Offshoot of uni, dealing more with the arts and trades. Thats a blury defination because I think it is blury. I think the main difference is what qualifications you end up with, a Degree or a Certificate 4, but you can study most stuff at either.

Can you say 'Court case' or 'debt recovery'? They don't like when you do that

That's the plan, Stan.

Aww unlucky Jeeves :( What's TAFE btw? :p

Think of TAFE as a bit like England's A-Level colleges. Going there isn't obligatory, but it's a good idea. TAFE do more vocational type stuff like childcare, media, etc. than formal degree higher education.

I really don't like it when people constantly stare at you. This about 40-year-old man in the train today was either fascinated by me or thinking on how to steal my bag.

I hate it on trains when people lean against the poetry. (Poetry and art has replaced ads on Melbourne trains. Ahh, pretentiousness.)
And when the train company announce that:
a) That was their best months service in years, when you've just had a train cancelled, and the followup was delayed. And then:
b) Service will be worse in the following months.

I hate when in a thread where people are remembering something, like for example playing a game for the first time 10 years ago, and some kid (cause they're always in between 12 and 14) comes along and says

"yes, I remember. I was 13 when I played that game, I'm 14 now, aaah those were the good days".

drives me nuts inside

I hate people from other countries who fail to take a bath on a regular basis.

I hate people who walk into a retail location while talking on a cell phone and do thier entire transaction and walk out and NEVER end the call.

I hate cell phones that ring loudly with obnotious ring tones while in a place of business.

I think I just hate cell phones to be honest. It's like a digital umbilical cord. Do I really NEED to be that accesible?

I hate shaving. At the same time I hate having a beard and tash. I just can't win!

I also hate the fact that I'm in the older age group of the C&C modding community. At least I'm not the oldest.
But when these kids start saying "Yea, I'm having my exams at school later, my GCSEs"... Mine were 6 years ago!!! >.<

And they're spreading across the uk too, for the first time ever I sighted a chav here today, at my college, wearing one of those stupid looking chav caps. OMG!!! I nearly went over to him to take his cap and stamp on it, but no... I couldn't bring myself to go near it!!

Chavs sound an awful lot like wiggers. God, they are the scum of the earth.

we have barakis in Belgium, they are our chavs. But they are much more laughable and less anti social so I don't really mind when I see one ride by in his ridiculously tuned VW golf or honda civic. :)
