I have just successfully installed a subcat mod, this can be seen in our new Battlefield Guild forum: http://forums.revora...?showforum=1063

Currently this is the only forum that is going to be using the mod yet after ensuring it works 100% and making sure there are no bugs from it we will bring it into all relevent forums to make navigation easier and make our network sites appear to have their own index forums.

Enjoy

So, it basically just makes any forum act like it was the forum index?

Yeah, i'll prolly reorganise the CNC Forum on Sunday. At this moment there has been no problems with the subcat mod. I gotta write a small tutorial for the admins so they understand how it works, because it is different from setting up a typical forum.

To be honest it look bloody horrible. I was browsing through Revora and went to the Guild area and found that its all changed. Now i have to continuously scroll down past all the Generals & Zero Hour Mods only to try and hunt down a forum in the RA2 area since its no-long in alphabetical order >.<

Sorry to sound like a whiney bitch but it was FAR better how it was before :)

Yeah this is what i was thinking people would say. Remember you do have the category expand/hide option. I think we might try sort it when working on a skin. I'll see what people reckon overall. Otherwise we can just make a "hosted mods" subcat and stick them as subforums under that.

1) The link didn't work when you posted it. Said it was 'out of date or broken'. What I actually think happened was the permissions were wrong.

2) I can't really see much difference in the CNC section. It seems a bit off IMO. I'll study it a bit later and come up with a better organised layout for it.

If you call that fine...
I prefeered it before; at least resurect TS&RA2 and Generals mods subcats.
And by at least I mean you could just change it back how it was in its entirety.

I love this new subcat mod! It does more than you think. It allows any user to organize the forums in the way they want. How? Simply place the forums you want to show. Take a look at this sample and you'll know what I mean:

But the this is, once you delete your cookies then you'll have to do its all again. I personally liked it how it was before. It may not of been TOTALLY organised but it was 99% of us had been used to for years. And i personally don't want that area to change...

I'll alter it to stick the modifications under a subcat. It just makes the other areas easier to navigate without excessive clicks/loadtimes.

{EDIT} Better?
