Does anyone know of a importer for w3d files that works with Maya? Either that or a way I can edit models using Maya?

If you can go from maya into either 3ds, max, or gmax format then you can edit in maya.

Hmmm, splendid idea, I like my maya better than gmax
Too bad I haven't found any free means to do such a thing :(

The ultimate goal is to get the model into RenX. RenX only opens .gmax files or imports .3ds files.
