Priore experience is a must and I want to see atleast one website that you have already done to see the quality of your work.
If your interested in applying for the job or would like more information please contact me through pm, email or msn.

Do you ever do something for someone else, when there is no money involved but simply because you are their friend or because you like to do something?
Just curious.
I enjoy making sites, however just enjoying something doesn't pay the rent.
Yhe, he is doing a mod, they are free and he does it because he enjoys it. Why should he pay you to make a site for something thats going to be free anyway? If you enjoy making sites then do one for free like he is doing the mod.
Yes, I know I sound like a cheap bastard. But I can live with that accusation. It's very hard to find someone who will do something for free nowadays. Especially from the "professional" community.

Yeah, it doesn't pay the rent, but you have fun making it. You don't get paid for playing computer games or reading a book or whatever in your spare time either. If you have it as a job, then yeah it may be different. I don't know what kind of situation you're in.
Just sometimes you do things because you enjoy them and know you will be helping a friend (don't mean this specific case, but in general), not because you want money. Just my two cents.

Nothing wrong in asking for a payment, after all, Bartimaeus is providing some very heavy demands.
- Someone who isn’t busy.
- Someone who can get it done “properly.”
- Prior experience, must have an example.
- Someone who produce “general graphics themselves based on descriptions and consept art that I provide them. I will also provide rendors and other graphics.”
- Something that can be quickly done.
Sorry, but this charity work for any designer. They are at the whims of a client and really doesn’t stand anything to gain in this venture. Considering the person designing this site might have already paid a couple of tens of thousands of dollars into a web design degree and could also easily find a client that could do the work.
Now not everyone can afford the high price of getting a designer to your website but beggars can’t be choosers and in the end the person demanding the design is better off doing it themselves in most cases.
BTW, I have sometimes charged friends for designs. When they ask me for help they aren’t asking for me as a friend but as a professional designer.

I just feel it's kind of egoistic to ask for money if (and only if) you haven't been offered it. Also depends on what way you ask. If you need the money badly, I can understand you'd ask for it.
When I get a job (after uni etc) then it matters more to me whether I like the job, not that I make lots and lots of money off it. Money alone doesn't garantuee happiness.

I'm annoyed not because he's asking someone else to do it for him, it's because of the WAY he's asking for it. He has provided little to no information and expects someone to do loads. It's incredible. He's like 'I don't want to wait'. Well, if you want something done, you'll have to.
