You have had some terrain so now for another rarity, buildings! :umad:

Runway

Hanger

The hanger works in a similar way to the GDI upgrade centre in TS giving you excess to superweapons when upgraded. Here you can see two runways & a fully upgraded hanger.

I haven’t completely finished it yet, I plan too add a searchlight to the roof of the control tower that will illuminate enemy aircraft but haven’t got round to trying it out yet.

Excellent work Mig!

The look awsoeme! I love the lighting effects!

Did you create these from scratch or are they based on other WWII games like the civ buildings?

Also, how many planes does each runway hold? (That is if the aircraft work that way)

I made them from scratch in Photoshop & each runway holds four planes.

awesome work though :umad:

You get fighters & ground attack planes with just the runway but you need the hanger to build bombers so it’s more like a tech lab etc.

I would love to get into making games professionally but I would need to spend the next 5 or more years at university to even have a chance of that. First I would need to spend a year or two doing A-levels tho just to get into uni :umad:

that is certainly nice :umad: if all the base buildings are that good looking I'll want to protect them from the enemy even more.

btw, is this and other buildings going to be shared by every side or are you planing on having different (or even just slightly modified) ones for the different countries?
IMHO just adding a little modification (like stuff written in japanese on the japonese one for example) is more than enough...just a small detail.

@Ash:
For now all sides share the same buildings, at a later time I will make different ones for each side or as you said change the details so they fit with that side better.

I would prefer to make completely different buildings for each side but I have a severe lack of imagination when it comes to designing new buildings. It can take me months to figure out what to make them look like in my head & then just a day put them together in Photoshop.

@B.v.G:
I have made all the buildings but I’m only happy with the runway, hanger, warfac & naval yard, the rest need redoing.

@Mad:
The lighting on both buildings is done with custom alpha images.

Mig, your skill with SHPs makes the jobs done by WW on the RA2 buildings look like hackjobs. I applaud you.

OLD SIG
When history witnesses a great change Razgriz reveals itself,
first as a dark demon. As a demon it uses it power to rain death upon the land,
and then it dies. However after a period of slumber Razgriz returns
As the demon sleeps, man turns on man.
Its own blood, and madness soon cover the earth.
From the depths of despair awaken the Razgriz.
Its raven wings ablaze in majestic light.
Amidst the eternal waves of time
From a ripple of change shall the storm rise
Out of the abyss peer the eyes of a demon
Behold the Razgriz, its wings of black sheath
The demon soars through the dark skies
Fear and Death trail its shadow beneath
Until Men united wield a hallowed sabre
In Final Reckoning, the beast is slain.

Mig, you just halted me again with the fact that: a senior middle school boy(I don't know the education in Britain but it seems so ) can be so knowledgable in WW2 or other history stuff and as well be so professional in image process.
You could have saved WestWood, or beat it yourself, if you are a fewer years older.
Forgive me Miggy, I thought you were much older :p

BTW, the first halt is from the runway and hanger.

I’m 20 years old...

I’m a high school dropout & everything I know is self-taught, because of that I have no qualifications so getting a job or going to uni is near impossible for me.

Don't worry, Bill Gates is also a dropout.
I thought it was a Chinese irony that "Certificate" means more than ability or anything eles. I'm sorry seems it also happens sometime in your part of the world.
BTW, very good self-education you had.

Yeah, you need qualifications for everything these days. My mother couldn't find a job because shes been doing PR since before you could get a degree, but the fact she only has years and years of expericence, and no peice of paper saying she studyed it, makes it hard. Its a messed up system.

On topic, thats awesome.

Alpha lights mean you can't use XCC modlauncher I think, but this all looks excellent. I assume you avoid the selection braket errors by having the one have 0 height and the other have it only in the front?
