Okey, I have some I deas for my faction and I need help seting them up.
Soz that it in all capitals, it was copied from my website.

GENERALS ABILITIES

1 STAR

INFANTRY JETPACK
THIS ALLOWS INFANTRY TO MOVE AT MUCH GRATER SPEED

GRENADE LAUNCHER UPGRADE
THIS UPGRADE ADDS A GRENADE LAUNCHER TO THE BOTTOM OF THE RIFLEMAN’S GUN, WITH THIS HE WILL FIRE AT VEHICLES

TITAN FOX
THIS ALLOWS THE PRODUCTION OF THE TITAN FOX



3 STAR

SYNAPTIC LINK
THIS WILL UPGRADE ALL UNITS WITH THE SYNAPTIC LINK, THIS CONNECTS ALL UNITS TO EACH OTHER VIA WIRELESS MODEMS. WHEN A UNIT GETS EXPERIENCE, ALL OTHER UNITS WILL GET 10% OF THAT AMOUNT

VEHICLE REPAIR
THIS WILL REPAIR ALL UNITS IN A SMALL AREA, THIS HAS 3 LEVELS

RADAR SCRAMBLER
THIS IS A CHEMICAL AGENT REALISED IN TO THE AIR, ALL RADAR WILL BE DOWN BUT ALL STEALTHED UNITS WILL BE REVEALED, THIS HAS 3 LEVELS

MONEY DROP
THIS IS A DROP OF SUPPLIES IN A DESIGNATED AREA, THIS HAS 3 LEVELS



5 STAR

POLY-TUNGSTEN-STEEL ARMOUR
THIS WILL UPGRADE ALL VEHICLES WITH A TOUGH AND LIGHT ARMOUR

TRI-DIMENSIONAL SCANNERS
THIS GIVES ALL VEHICLES A NEW SCANNING SYSTEM WHICH GIVES THEM MORE RANGE AND REVEALS STEALTH UNITS WITHIN A CERTAIN RANGE

TITAN CHEETAH BOMBING RUN
THIS WILL CALL IN A BOMBING RUN BY THREE TITAN LEOPARDS

I wont pretend to be an expert but here are my suggestions for what to do for each of your Generals Points.

*Infantry JetPack*

Use a similar coding to the Upgrade for Nuclear Tanks creating a new locomotor for the Red Guard. I dont think there is a way that a Generals Point can immediately create the Locomotor Upgrade. You need to produce a Fake Upgrade Button somewhere (probably barracks) that become available when the Generals Promotion is bought. You can give it a BuiltTime of 0 and BuildCost of 0 so it works just like the General's Promotion but you need an extra click.

*Infantry Grenade Pack*

Same as above but instead of creating a Locomotor Upgrade create a Weaponset Upgreade. Create the new weapon in Weapon.ini with the Grenade as a Secondary Weapon with Secondary Weapon prefering tanks unless you just want it to fire grenades where you replace the existing primary with the grenade weapon.

*Titan Fox*

Just copy the Paladin Tank idea from the USA Generals Promotion. Make sure one of the prequisites in the Titan Fox unit is SCIENCE = TitanFox or whatever you name it.

*Synaptic Link*

Sorry, don't know how you could do this, not sure its even possible to link veterancy.

*Vehicle Repair*

Copy existing Repair Generals Promotion

*Radar Scrambler*

Once again im not sure if this is possible. For revealing stealth units you can copy the Spy Drone ability and combine it with the EMP pulse for China which will disable units, buildings etc and destealth stuff.

*Money Drop*

Just copy the Supply Drop from USA but make it require a SpecialPower with a timer so it can only be done so often.

*Poly-Tungsten-Steel Armour*

Use the Composite Armour upgrade from the Strategy Centre. It will need the dummy button like the infatry special powers i think since its an upgrade but just give every unit of that faction a Upgrade Module Tag to change its armour type. There are a few armour types that arent used that you can change to what you want it to achieve but you cant create a new armour type because its hard coded into the game.

*Tri-Dimensional Scanners*

You can add Stealth Detection through copying the Listening Outpost ability to detect stealth. Just give all units an Upgrade Tag that is introduced when the Generals Point is introduced. Im not sure what you mean by range. If you mean weapon range then it will require a lot of coding since you'll need to increase the range of every weapon for every vehicle in that faction and then have an upgrade weaponset for each unit which is bought when you get the Generals Power. If your talking about the cloud range then i dont think you can upgrade this. But dont take my word for it.

*Titan-Cheetah Bombing Run*

Copy the A10 Generals Power but change the Unit from the A10 Warthog to your Titan-Cheetah.


Hope this helps, Sorry for being a bit vague, been a long time since i modded Zero Hour so ive forgotten a lot of the details. These are just my suggestions and i may not be right 100% of the time and there may be ways you can do these better. If you've got any more questions feel free to ask.

If you need some help coding it then i'd be happy to help. I'm pretty sure i could knock up all the basic code for the generals promotion there in a week or so and then you'd just need to add the models and units which use it. PM me or leave a message here if you want some help.

Heh, yes Slye_Fox please post anything related to generals modding that does not involve scripting with the world builder tool (or mapping) in the Generals Editing forum ^_^
