I am allowed to drive as soon as I've been to the city office and gotten my licence officially (hopefully this afternoon). I passed my theory on 19-06-2005 and on 23-06-2004, this was the real, practical exam (or however it's translated exactly, you know what I mean ).

...She was driving under the influence of overwhelming joy from having passed her test, and police suggest speed may have been a factor. (Speed WAS a factor, dammit! They can't have crashed if they wheren't moving!)

Well done, knew you could do it

O she of little faith. Wouldn't listen to a word when I said she could do it. Now look.

Yet another Revora incident where I get to say 'I told you so', only this one was good.

Congrats Blaat, I know you've had a few tries and had some tough times with your driving test, but well done for passing and getting it over with.

Well done! I passed mine third time, which was a little annoying as my younger sister passed first time - a fact which she loves to remind me everytime I take the car <_<

Although, to be fair, she probably is a better driver. To the best of my knowledge, she hasn't hit anything yet. But then, to the best of her knowledge, I haven't hit anything yet...

Well she said to me she would have properly passed if she didn't hit that other car and that badger that she purposely ran over because it looked funny

Nah, congratulations blaat, told you you'd eventually do it.

@ user_unknown
Well I doubt my younger sister hasn't passed after my amount of tries minus one. I don't expect her to get mean to me however, we get along well.

@ Tom
lol .

@ Jsmooth
You have to be eightteen, you get lessons by a driving teacher in a driving car with an extra set of clutch etc. You have to pass a theory exam which lasts for one year (if you haven't passed your practical test you must redo it). Then you get an inbetween test once, but it's not very important. And finally you get a practical exam, usually taking about 40 mins.

Thanks everyone for your replies .

Not the worst test by far! One of my friends stopped at a traffic light and then rolled backwards and hit a police car when they tried to move off again ;)

Only car Ive ever hit was a panelbeaters. It was easier for him to fix up the dented numberplates than to get insurers involved so got off scot-free ;)

I thought you said this morning (your afternoon) you didn't have a licence, or do you mean the car you were in?

Damn Blaat. That's all complicated. Here you just have to be 15 and 10 months, then you take a freaking half year course and a few lessons and bam they stick you out on the road.

Don't you just love America? ;)

Heh. I do prefer feeling safe (for myself and with other traffic). I think the age of 18 is just fine, not all 15-year-olds are very mature yet. Our system may be complicated and hard, but seeing the Netherlands is (according to my driving teacher) one of the countries where they drive well (or not that much accidents, I don't remember his exact words) it seems to work. Atm I'm just glad I passed heh. It took a lot of effort but I'm glad I finally made it.
