Trimming is best, shaving just makes you have an itchy sack which is not good in summer. Makes you look like have crabs as well.

All of my male clients that have come to see me left saying it wasn't as bad as they thought it was. The wax is more warm than hot, like a warm shower. The upside is after 24hours you will be so smooth and chicks/dudes like that and I'm sure you will too. Just think...it's not going to kill you. Don't knock until you try it and if you have keep doing it.
