We were trying to convert each other? I don't try to convert anyway to my belief, if no one wants to believe what i believe thats fair enough, they make their own decisions. You shouldn't get hung up on trying to "convert" people, it doesn't help anyone in anyway, people need to find themselves in whatever way they can. If thats creativity, politics, spirituality, religion, work/a job etc let them. Everyone has induvidual personailities, as long as they do disrupt anyone elses free will there is nothing wrong.

So, losing and you want to give up eh?
EDIT: This was at AOWR

What the fuck is he on about conversion and everything? Jesus.
We're just trying to debate and argue his religious view and his 'facts' which he hasn't been able to back up yet with any proof or sources what so ever..

What if God created the Earth to look older.
Into the fires of Orodruin,
The One must be cast
This is the price that must be paid,
Only thus its power will be undone
Only thus, a great evil, unmade

There is no other choice.
There is no other way.
One of you must take it,
One of you must pay.

OLD SIG
When history witnesses a great change Razgriz reveals itself,
first as a dark demon. As a demon it uses it power to rain death upon the land,
and then it dies. However after a period of slumber Razgriz returns
As the demon sleeps, man turns on man.
Its own blood, and madness soon cover the earth.
From the depths of despair awaken the Razgriz.
Its raven wings ablaze in majestic light.
Amidst the eternal waves of time
From a ripple of change shall the storm rise
Out of the abyss peer the eyes of a demon
Behold the Razgriz, its wings of black sheath
The demon soars through the dark skies
Fear and Death trail its shadow beneath
Until Men united wield a hallowed sabre
In Final Reckoning, the beast is slain.
Razgriz intrerpretation

1. No evidence of god.Or Buddha. Or anything else like that. God should be capitalized.

2. Plenty of evidence in science. (But I think the Big Bang is bullcrap.) So... where did everything (including science) come from?

3. If God really loved us, would we need to worship Him? This makes me think he's power0hungry, meaning He is not perfect, meaning he must not be omnipowerful and omnipotent. God never demands worship, but is given it because he deserves it, and because we love Him

4. If God really loved us, would He send us to Hell? He's omniBENEVOLENT, after all. He forgives everything, supposedly. We have to ask for forgiveness (pay attention in sunday school); if we ask it's given freely

5. If He really existed, why would the KKK/Taliban/other idiots exist? Is that His fualt, or ours?

6. If He exists, why are there other religions? Because we're too stupid to believe what He says

By the way, I'm a complete and total christian, and a good amount of my time is taken up by Youth-Group and AWANA (a kids ministry, in which kids memorize verses, play games and (sometimes) get awards)

1. If one does not believe in this mysticism you speak of, why should they capitalize such a name controversial to their own beliefs?

2. In science, we can prove things through complex investigations of the world around us and the way it works. Religion was created by the ancient equivalent of "rich white men" who planned on exploiting and destroying the average members of society.
Using proven scientific facts, I can prove certain things. Now the burden of proof is on you, prove that some supernatural being exists.
You can't. Religion is not science, its scripture and has no place in modern society. If you wish to practice whatever chanting, dancing, and mysticism you'd like, you may go ahead but please do it in your own home. We do not need such pollution in our society. I have no interest in having anything to do with a cleverly concealed lie which seeks to systematically remove rights from all individuals. The best example of this could be gay marriage. Religion has no place in the affairs of state, if you wish to impose such limits, do so in your own little churches.

3. I don't love any type of false god, I don't believe that anything deserves my worship. It doesn't exist. You've been lied to. The bible was written by some really good storytellers, its unfortunate you believe it.
If I were to read the Hunt for the Red October figuratively, I would come out of it believing that Jack Ryan is the Messiah, and that the Soviet Union is the devil. Contort literature all you want, come up with as many different meanings as you'd like, and try to put meaning where there is no meaning, but it will still be a book of stories.

4. Oh yes, let me tell you, love to ask forgiveness from things that don't exist. Why don't I ask the Borg for forgiveness? About the same chance of them existing really... Or maybe Darth Vader, he seems pretty plausible.

5. Religious hate groups such as the KKK have arisen because of ultra-right ministers who do not understand that all humans are created equal. The religion at the focal point may differ, but it has always been a combination of religious babbling and ridiculous, racist notions.

6. I'd love to hear your views on other ethnic groups. The bible was not written by this god you speak of, it was written by a bunch of men who sat down and decided that religion would be the best way to manipulate people. Instead of damning people to an afterlife of suffering like most polytheistic religions of the time, the Christians came up with something far worse... forgiveness, and heaven. This is what made the Christian plague so popular in its early life. Other religions exist because people, by nature, segregate into different cultural groups. When you try and force your crazy religion on other people, with their own religion, they don't exactly "See the light" of "god".

You're an absolute nut who will be relegated to nothing more than preaching in some house of spin, babbling on the street, or perhaps, if you're lucky, making "informational" videos about creation "science" which you can sell to undereducated neo-cons at $20 a whack. I really feel for you, and invite you to see the light of true science. There is no god, things don't happen for a reason, there's nothing such as destiny, and you make your own choices, not some omnipotent power above.
You may also want to read up on the omnipotence paradox.

1. yOu have attacked us. As such, you need to provide proof.

2. Our proof resides in this:

EVERY LAW OF SCIENCE WAS PROVEN.

Things like the Big Bang, however, are THEORIES, things unproved.

You can't ask me to prove science. I can ask you to prove that science is wrong though, which is what you're stating. I can't disprove something you don't attempt to prove.
I've attacked religion and I've put up a pretty good argument, you can't tell me to "prove science", to continue that argument.

Anyways I'd just like to add:

How can soil tests be wrong? I read somewhere about a carbon radiation dissipation test (or whatever it's called, can't be arsed to look for a translation), anyways some carbon isotope dissipates into halves every so often (which is a rather constant amount of time), so that's by far a accurate measure. All you chemists correct me if I'm wrong here somewhere.

@ Tom: no.

Proof for AOWR

ARGUMENT FROM CREATION, a.k.a. ARGUMENT FROM PERSONAL INCREDULITY (I)
(1) If evolution is false, then creationism is true, and therefore God exists.
(2) Evolution can't be true, since I lack the mental capacity to understand it; moreover, to accept its truth would cause me to be uncomfortable.
(3) Therefore, God exists.
