I've now finished the Cadian AI, from scratch that is... hence the time taken... see it in all its glory below:

Incidentally, the long list thing on the right is the AI viewed as scripts in worldbuilder, that image has the dimensions 564x3150 pixels... ouch :rolleyes:

It's scratch built
I did refer to several other AI's to help me build mine, but it's completely original and not a cloned template.
Though, the other factions, Tau and Marines, will be using clones of my cadian Ai, with slight changes :rolleyes:

news tidbit...

Been modifying the AI a bit, it uses medics now, though a bit dodgily... it was trying to heal my troops O_o

Anyways, the Ai is pretty damn smart, rather than sending out wave after wave of generic simmilar teams (which would be very easy to script)...

it detects what units you have and builds teams to counter them, it also pays attention to what teams fail and what ones succeed and alters what it builds to match what works.

At the moment I'm playing a 2v2 with me and an Ai vs 2 other AI's.

My ally has about 12 enemy leman russes in his base and is about to be finished off I imagine and there's several more groups of them heading towards his base, wheras I have a group of snipers camping just outside my base perimete and all my troops are dead (i'm about to lose too ;))

looks like an verry efficient and bad AI that you make. ;)
i realy looks forvard to the release :umad:

Im impressed Cal! I didnt think it was possible to code such stuff...EA programmers could learn many things from you.

However, aside the smartness...does it build loadza of units and throw them at you? ;)

EA was an idiot when it came to the AI. they could have done so much more. my biggest problem is the USA strat center bug. once detroyed the AI would rebuild teh strat center but never re-initiate the battle plan. it was a 5 minute fix for me to make it happen for the shockwave AI.

Hey cal don't make the AI too difficult. Allow us to do some comp stomping too in the future. ^_^

Good work. Dynamic AI's are much more better.

yeah, I haven't beaten it yet ^_^ well, actually, i did beat an earlier build 'cos it was acting stupid and trying to run my rocket soldiers over with a horde of basilisks...
