saving it in WB
do you mean by saving the .bse files in the bases section of program files, bfme? If so i have done that though i still want to know if name expansion_elves as that or outpost_elves, or does it make a difference?

no difference, as long as you refer to it CORRECTLY in the code.
okay this might be the problem, ill relook through the guide where i refer to the name of the base and check it.

though somethign that dont need the prnt scren i that when the crash message appears, the bfme application shows MISSING:GUI FullGameName

you don't have your str/csf file placed right.
what do you mean, the CSF file has everything that the tutorial has said to put in it and i have placed it in _englishpatch103.big replacing the old lotr.csf file?
