Archers Firing while moving

Firing arcs don't have anything to do with that from what I thought.
You could possibly do it by messing with the AcceptableAimDelta within the weapon code so that the archer doesn't necessarily need to be looking right at his target in order to fire on it. This may look weird but it would probably look better than having the infantry guy break his spine everytime he wants to shoot someone behind him.

Firing arcs most certainly do. You not only set the starting angle, you can set the actual limit of the arc to limit the range of firing. This means you can have a battle wagon with an archer on the side that can only fire from the side at targets on the side of the wagon.??

The only cool enough use i can think of is a "shield border" power for legolas...

Ok, I got my rohirrim archers to fire when moving but it only works when they are an individual unit. When they're in a horde, it doesn't work properly. I've tried to add/remove the turret in HordeAIUpdate and also tried different things in the horde attack nugget. They just don't seem to fire correctly. So does anyone have any clue of how to make it work in a horde? I have tried everything I can think of.

Well, the best I can get is that all the units in the horde will attack but they shoot straight at the ground and they play no animations. I've also gotten it where they just won't shoot at all while moving. I'm beginning to wonder if the turret logic was ever designed to be used in a horde or not.what exactly happens/goes wrong when you try and use them in a horde
Thanks. Yeah, I've searched all over the forums but haven't found anything yet to my problem.Better than creating a new topic really ... this proves you actually looked up the subject before
