Who are you?
What do you want?
As with Star Wars, one is light, one is dark. Those of you familiar with the show I'm talking about would totally understand this, but please, answer. Anything is applicable, but for "Who Are You?", please try to refrain from mentioning cultural references or designations, such as my name is, my parents are, I am the son/daughter of, the husband/wife of... etc.
And so it begins...

What do you want? Reports on my AI mod.
The One must be cast
This is the price that must be paid,
Only thus its power will be undone
Only thus, a great evil, unmade
There is no other choice.
There is no other way.
One of you must take it,
One of you must pay.

I am the sum result of cell division, education, alcohol, coffee, sarcasm, tv, Douglas Adams, coffee, Wikipedia, The Great Noodly One, Theakstons Old Peculier, too much time in front of a computer, coffee, music, studio Ghibli, my imagination, lots of free time, coffee, cynicism, English blood, Guinness, chilli, Disney World and a steak, fried for 8 minutes on each side with a portion of mushrooms and onions.
What do you want?
I want to live forever, and that can only be achieved by doing something worthy of being remembered.

but seriously ( ), who do we remember? the people who have changed the world for beter or worse. The people who have stood out from the endless masses. Those people will live forever in the memory of mankind as a whole for what they did. After all, you can't live forever literally, your body slowly destroys itself, courtesy of evolution. Once you pass breeding age you're no more use to the species

Who are you?- I am an athiest social capitalist statist slightly conservative anti-Nazi.
What do you want? I want the world to just run properly.
The world is a giant Computer program... All its programers (countries) coded in different programming languages and each with their own biases, believes, and prejudices. Therefore every time world.exe is compiled there are thousands of errors which spur up conflicts between the programers each blaming each other for the errors. in conclusion the program 'world' will never be completly compiled until all differences and beliefs are neutralized... making the world a dull, unexotic, uninspired, well oiled, machine capable of producing indifferent and dull products and beings.
... I dunno about you but I'd rather have some parse errors than be the same as everyone else.

Who are you? An anti-social anti-nazi communist-sympathizing republican who is disarraying all forms of coding from is own mods to renew them in new ini's eliminating problems and who is "disinclined to aquiest to your request" for any answers indicating intelligence. Oh, and I've see that movie too many times.
What do you want? RA2 Renegade mod, Tiberian Sun and Firestorm (they are really hard to find.), a way to make my Generals and Zero:Hour (I love how they did that) work on my desktop at home (not this computer or any other I've used on Revora), all those TC's out there I can't download yet.

"Who are you?" is the Vorlon question. "What do you want?" is the Shadow question. Which question you make primary will determine your fundamental outlook on life. Do you define yourself in terms of your desires, or do you first determine what kind of person to be and then shape your desires accordingly?
Which answer you give will determine your fate. Which answer the characters in Babylon 5 give will determine the fate of a galaxy.
Two of the central figures in the Babylon 5 storyline are Londo Mollari and G'kar, the ambassadors from Centauri and Narn respectively. Londo and G'kar are archenemies, and Londo has already foreseen in a vision that he and G'kar will die with their hands at one another's throats. (Note that a vision may be accurate even if it is misleading....) Both men make the mistake of asking the Shadow question first, and both men ultimately come to find their way to the Vorlon question instead. But one realizes his mistake sooner than the other, and therein lies the central tragedy of the entire saga.
Perhaps someone now understands where Spencer is heading for..
