Erm... What?

EDIT: Wait, you edited.

Yes, it does. They are a powerful force. Not that they're stupid enough to cause WWIII though.

Well ,they can't really do much.

NK has:

-Conscription

-Really poor... everything... But they DO have nukes.

China has:

-AMAZING land army

-TEERIBLE blue water navy.

Thus the y only havr nuclear strike capability. Anyone they attack will be a nieghbour, and that would cause thr US t ointervene. And that would be bad...

Nuclear holocaust is WELL beyond Chinese and N. Korean capability-- ayt very least the whole US won't be glowing green. But they CAN nuke the US. I'm not sure about Chinese nukes though... those could be... devastating. Regardless, it's not good. But it's hardly world-ending, one nuke strike. Terrible, genocidal, and wrong ,but not world-ending.

On-topic though, there's no proof to suggest NK and PRC are in league. They may both lcaim to be COmmunist... but that's it. Seems likely, however. NK MAY be being influenced by China... but why?

ask yourself that same question and the answer may be frightningly clear.nk is CHINAS puppet for the purpose of trying to mirror what democracy is and what communism is trying to emulate!!!!!!

I personally don't think china is even a threat anymore. They call themselves communists, even though they are really just capitalists in diguise, and I think nowadays they are more worried about their GDP growth rather than defending or aiding other communist nations. In simplified form: China depends on the USA to buy their shit, and I think they are more worried about continuing that, rather than helping there communist buddies to the south.

I kinda have to agree. though to back Nar's point, they really aren't doing much to contain thier friend the NK.

If China wanted to reign in the NKs they could. But it's totally useful for china to have a NK thorn in the side of the US.

They are not exactly our enemies but I'm sure they see the political value of a crazy NK nation that can cause this much of an issue with the US.

In fact if I was the chinese I'd be chuckling over the matter of the US being in such a position with such a small nation. No one flinched an eye when china became able to nuke the west coast of the US.

But china also doesn't spew the rhetoric NK does. In a round about way, narcismo is correct.

China is more of a capitalist nation than any other in the world. They're just capitalism with red stars and flashy, green uniforms. We've got nothing on their economy.

And with regards to North Korea, while they have a serious influence on what they overall do, I don't think they exactly control the government. Kim Jong Il is his own absolute total nut, he makes his own decisions, unfortunately, and the people suffer.

N Korea's more like the embarassing little brother of China, while China's trying to hang with all the cool kids N Korea's throwing a fit because they're not being included.

Seems to me China would prefer N Korea to stop using the "n word" as they're currently trying to integrate themselves into the world economy and what N Korea does reflects on them as well.

interesting. i'm not sure if i believe that is the case w/ china, just a thought, but i do think we can all agree it's kind of a funny paradox. they are the least likely and yet the most likely culprits.
