i posted about this before, but i cant find the topic now. World builder crashes when i put my mods .big in the main bfme2 folder so i can use the new objects in world builder.

Someone mentioned abo9ut making a ist of objects or something. Can someone tell me what he ment? Im making an ai base so all i need is the object names in world builder.

Ah I believe that was me. Basically what I said was that you could use the unmodded files, but just code in your new buildings, nothing else. Then you go into Worldbuilder, create your base then add it to your mod files. Rinse and repeat if you wish to make more bases

OR, move your .big from the "my bfme2 files" to the main install directory.

worldbuilder will read mods in there.

He mentioned that he did that, but Worldbuilder wouldn't load, meaning there was an error in there somwhere

If you crash worldbuilder, then youll crash the game too. Unless youve done something very odd.

I beleive there is a worldbuilder model condition state somewhere, and as far as I know, thats the only thing used in worldbuilder and not in the game.

That's not true. It is very possible to have a mod that runs fine in-game but crashes Worldbuilder

Well, ive never encountered the game running but worldbuilder not.

But yeah, the sides only seem to effect teh organizational tree in worldbuilder. But you can put almost anything in there.

yes zimmo is correct. There could be the tinest coding problem anywhere, which would not make the game crash unitill it encounters the error ingame. Like when you buy the unit which has the problem. World builder wont start if you have any of these.

I have check through everyting and played thorugh the mod inagme, but no erros

It can be an even smaller error, that doesn't mess up anything in-game. Worldbuilder is uber sensitive to errors, hence why I check it still loads up every time I add a few things

Does WB need every reference to check out fully too? Can I get a couple of Structure-specific ini files to load without the rest of a mod?

Don
have a great day
