My old duel gundam model was lacking some detail in the skin so I decided I would redo it. I also made some changes to the model itself so it has a lower poly count now.

wow, that's brilliant dude!
Duel is one of my favourite gundams and this just makes me like him more, I can't wait to pwn some naturals with it.
btw. Sykes, you know any good modelling tutorials? i've got 3dsmax 7 sitting here pissing me off cause it's confusing to use.

Thats a really good video tutorial. There are a few files you have to download but its definetely worth the time and space. It shows you some pretty good techniques and gets you familiar with a lot of the basic tools in Max.

I just remembered doesn't the Dual have a laser cannon on it's left sholder and a missile pod on it's right sholder?

The duel only has those when it is equiped with its assault shroud armor. I havent modeled that yet. Its going to be a bit of a challenge to keep it under 1000 faces.
