b-17 multiple aa turrets?

just a thought, but, since the ra2 engine only allows 1 turret per unit i guess, why dont ya add a way to put an infantryman into the heavy bombers acting like aerial AA gunners? maybe an infantryman with an AA machine gun that you can load up in the b-17's? they cant attack ground, only air... they can also be good AA defense on your base?

Heavy bombers are called off screen with superweapons so are not player controlled. Anyway the open top logic doesn’t work on aircraft AFAIK, also planes can’t attack anything when they are holding infantry too.

Oh BTW aircraft cant have turrets as well, not even one.

Indeed, actual aircraft can't use OpenTopped...it'd have to land everywhere as JumpJet.

Would be cool, but it wouldn't fit very well for a bomber. Shame, really.

dang, that sucks! i dont mean open top, its just as a door, side, and tail gunner effect and such.

"Open top" is derived from a tag in RULESMD.INI
The tag allows passengers to shoot out of the carrying vehicle with preset modifiers. 200% range, 120% damage. (or was it the other way around?)

well can jumpjets be called in as well? and if mix jumpjet B-17 with regular B17s in 1 formation, it will be great.
anyway there was a escort type B17...

its needs to be aircrafttype and it most likely to cause IE if u try something else.
