Look, Christopher Tolkien would never sell the rights, and Tolkien Enterprises should respect that.

Playing games? Ah, you'll never be a good modder if you get involved in actually playing them!

Finally, Tolkien is dead people. It is now a business, Run by his aged son. It's not the Bible people, it's a book and a business transaction. Nothing more, nothing less.

I think it is whatever the fans make it to be. I think that's sorta what Tolkien wanted, for people to enjoy his work and to let it take them wherever they would go.

Is it a business, yes. Is it a business to it's core fans, no... it's another world and history that is grander then we could come up with ourselves. That's what we are upset about... the messing of that which we hold in such high regard within ourselves.

Yep, and they were forced to rename the campaign mission in which you had to save Dale. It's now ''a city along the river'' instead of Dale.

It is clear that The Hobbit is still a possibility other Companys have the rights to The Hobbit so why cant ea?
so even if the silmarillion cannot be done as a rts bfme series the hobbit may.

We're not saying EA can't have the rights to the Hobbit. We're saying they DON'T have the rights to The Hobbit as of yet, hence they can't include anything

Nothing's stopping them from making an expansion based on the hobbit IF they acquire the rights

If they already have the Rights to The Lord Of The Rings 1,2,3 and they must have made by now millions on just these 3. I dont see them trying to get the rights for Tolkiens other books.

OMG, I've collected the largest collection of dorks and nerds possible. :(

You all take this shit so serious that you're actually arguing over things only a trekie would argue over. IT's just a video game people. I just created a site to mod it. :(

You people are fucking crazy. It's just a site, it's just a game, it's just the internet, Get over it. It's just a fucking game people...

It's just a game based on the greatest fantasy world every created. Call me a nerd, but EA rapes my favorite fiction and I hate them for it. It's like some idiot at Coca Cola adding some wacky ingredient. It's just a drink, though people will get pissed over it. Good thing Pepsi's better.. (In this metaphor, coca cola is EA and their fucking license, and pepsi the unedited works of Tolkien..)

Hostile, what's gone up your asshole today? In the last number of posts Ive seen, you've been pretty rude towards us here, making a good point in that EA has done alot of good, but other people have a good point too. Please, accept their opinion too.

Seriously man, things like 'You people are fucking crazy' what do you want us to do, agree with you!?? If we have a different opinion than you that doesnt mean we are 'The biggest collection of dorks and nerds ever.' Now I havent voiced which side I'm on, just trying to point out that you guys can have a conversation without going to the extreme. Hostile, in my opinion, you are kinda going way over the top. No need.

As for my opinion, Hostile, I agree with you that we should all be grateful that EA is paying attention to the BFME world still. I love T3A, the only reason that I know modding exists is because of it. I understand from your second to last post that we're all idiots, but I'm going to say this: while we (at least me) are grateful for EA's dedication, we are entitled to our opinion that EA screwed Tolkien by adding sleeveless elves and goblins riding on spiders. Which doesnt make us fucking idiots.

Hey all of you stop argueing here. Hostile is right that It is just game, just internet... just whatever . But many people take it very serious, cause they like Tolkiens work. I am on nobody side here, cause i am happy that there will be new stuff to mode ( i hope that this werewolf or whatever it is anims should fit to beornings well  ) but I also dislike what stuff they add, they completly screw Middleearth. But if they make it perfect what should we do??? just play? i guess not. be happy that we have this wonderfull game to mod and enjoy modding it :)
