I just got it working about ten minutes ago. It's not finalized but I thought I'd post the codes here:

Attached File  map.ini   121.09KB   89 downloads

This is the map.ini that EA gave us for bfme2 to show people how to add snow into their levels. After a bit of work editing all the particle systems I got it to run in-game in bfme 1. Looks really cool.

NOTE: You'll have to create your own snowflake tga or use an existing one... just replace the GtOSnowFlake.tga with your new one. A word to the wise though: several of the pre-existing images I tried didn't have an Alpha Channel so they showed up as squares in-game. You'll probably want to create your own new snowflake with an alpha channel to get around this.

Thanks go out to Fingulfin as I had to download one of his maps to figure out how to use a map.ini file

This should also work for persistant rain or lightning... or anything else you want falling from the sky the whole game lol.

Doesnt worldbuilder have a weather toggle tool built into it? And you can also do this weather.ini.

@Flamegaurd: He is making a map. If he did it in weather.ini it would mkae it so it would snow no matter what you are playing. And no, there is no real way to make it snow while in the WB. The code he got was from weather.ini.

@Feanor: Of course it can be done in BFME II :p
