what bothers me is that now there will be 7 new factions. which means that it is 2:1 in favour for the evil guys. i like things symetrical so i think they should at least include another faction for good to even it up.

Arnor is a favourite to open up, EA are yet to release more information. And depending on how much change there is with the expansion depends on a new subforum.

I have an idea, let's all work together to build an Angmar faction in the spirit of Tolkien, and get it done before EA finishes the expansion pack.. that actually would be cool to do, Carn Dûm Men at Arms, The Witch-King in a new garment and new abilities.. just to show what T3A is made of, to showcase our combined talent. Who's with me?

I'm not joking, I was thinking about that just yesterday. I'm completely for that. But you know, if EA gets wind of it they'll shut it down so fast.

I doubt it, they didn't shut RA down when they were making a sequel with Elves and Dwarves..

I've talked to Bard, the Rhovanion Alliance description writer and overall brilliant Tolkien scholar, and he suggested this for possible units.

Men of Carn Dum, Some Orcs, some Trolls, Rhudaur Hillmen and maybe some kind of Wights

Sounds good.

I'd say we invent some Half-Orc-Warg Marauder unit to totally mock EA.

They didn't shut down a mod project at MEV which was basically a community patch, so I don't see why they'd shut this down.

Anyway, I wish I could help but I'm not skilled enough to aid such great modders. Maybe I'll just hang around here offering encouragement and advice :p

Playing games? Ah, you'll never be a good modder if you get involved in actually playing them!

I'm working on some basic building models, just to get a feel for the architecture. Oh and let's not try to mock EA, let's just be a neutral mod.

I'll work on Elendil.

But I'm pretty busy right now, I can only do infantry or heroes. For buildings, I think EA did a really good job, it'll be hard to outdo them.

Yeah, I know, that Half-Orc-Warg guy was just a joke.

I'm on vacation, cant do any work right now, but I have a laptop and can create a techtree. I'll start on that.

Alright.

Windu, try surfing around the net for info on soldiers and other things from Angmar. I'll work on buildings for now, I think you'll like the thing I'm cooking up right now.
